Box arrived, we set it up, all quite easy.Put it outside through the center of the table & locked it in place.LED's work well, its construction is fairly sturdy, BUT..... the lovely forest green umbrella we purchasedfaded to pale blue within 20 days & continues to do so. I suspect by the end of summer it will be very close towhite.For this reason alone I don't recommend it even though it is well built.I'll give it 2 stars simply because the LED's work it charges up well & is fairly solid construction, not at all worth what they are asking for it price wise.Just for comparison our supermarket 39$ umbrella didn't fade until halfway through its second summer.But 20 Days??, that's just pure BS!!!If aesthetics count for you don't touch this thing with a barge pole....If it were priced at say, $39.99 might be worth it otherwise keep scrolling & searching. Good luck!UPDATE:1 LED's stopped working several weeks ago2 The crank cord for raising & lowering the umbrella snapped. Took it to local guy who specializes in fixing these things & other expensive patio items. I was told it was poorly made not worth repairiing."not your fault" he said, people get suckered into buying these things all the time.3 The tilt joint is so poorly milled that its always askew no matter what you do.4 In 2 days time from writing this update, its trash day & IT WILL be trashed WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE!!All in all a bad product, it lasted 4 months, 4MONTHS??? So we got this one because we did not want to spend too much, and end up with the wrong size or one that only lasted for one year and have to buy again. We have been pleasantly surprised. The crank up/down mechanism seems much more sturdy that we expected given the cost. The material is thick enough to hold out the sun during our Florida early summer heat---it's been over 90 several days already. We store it in the down position, but sitting in our umbrella stand outside on the porch in the sun.I'd recommend this one to anyone. Right now, I think we are going to get multiple years out of it--I don't see any wear on it at all and we've been using it for a couple months or so, but only crank it up/down every couple of weeks so far given the weather. It seems to be an inch or two smaller than advertised in diameter, but it works for the space. There is a stop to keep you from cranking it too high--seems nothing will happen to that. My guess is that the first thing to go will be whatever is inside that pulls it up, but you can't see that. The pole itself looks nice and classy enough to pass by anywhere. It fits inside our standard diameter umbrella stand.

We ordered this umbrella on July 1st, and less than 3 weeks later it's broken in half. The umbrella itself is in great condition, and the lights work. There is a small metal "button" where the upper and lower half of the umbrella pole connects, and that little metal button broke. I don't know if this is normal for others or just a faulty umbrella. Otherwise, the solar panel is fine and the button to turn the lights on and off works great, the color is a pretty summer aqua that looks great. Just need to get a better way to attach both ends of this umbrella pole together.

The 1st one we received, the box was damaged, the umbrella had a couple holes in the wind vent top, it had a dirty area on one side, and the solar lights didn't work. We returned it for an exchange. The return was so simple and the new umbrella was received in a couple days. This time the box was not damaged and the umbrella looked great, but again, the lights didn't work. This time I got out the included directions of what to do in that case. I had to take the umbrella out of the center of the patio table to get the solar top off and, sure enough, it was unplugged, just like the directions said it might be. It was easy to plug in and reattach the solar panel, and the lights worked great! But if that's the 2nd umbrella that came with non-working lights, and if it comes with directions as to what to do in that case, then I have a suggestion for the seller: (1) PLUG IN THE LIGHTS BEFORE SHIPPING, or (2) Change the directions to say to CHECK THE SOLAR LIGHT PLUG BEFORE YOU BOTHER PUTTING THE UMBRELLA TOGETHER AND PUTTING IT UP INTO YOUR PATIO TABLE. Even so, I still give it 5 stars and we are ordering another one for our other patio table. But this time, I'll check the solar light plug BEFORE putting the umbrella up!

The umbrella is sturdy with metal pole and arms. It withstood some breezy wind conditions when we were RVing at the lake. Solar lights are reasonably bright. Overall a good product. On the others side of this I was missing a clear plastic lens on one of the 40 solar lights. The light works but the small lens cover was missing. The seller has been totally unresponsive to my inquiry about a replacement. It's a little thing but I want it right. The light switch is on one of the arms rather than the pole which makes it difficult to find when dark. Lastly the umbrella had no instructions. This would not have been an issue but at first the solar lights, despite hours of charging, would not work. The battery and the solar panels had been disconnected in the top of the umbrella. which required one to remove the cap to reconnect. This may be for purposes of shipping but there should be some notice to that end for those who may not know where to look.UPDATE 6/26/2020: Well last weekend the umbrella met its demise. It was being used at our RV on the lake and a very sudden and strong storm came up with wind gusts likely hitting 40 mph plus and accompanying hail. Just before my wife could get to the umbrella it took flight with the table and landed in the lot about 20 feet away breaking at the joint where the umbrella tilts. This piece seems to be cheap on every umbrella I looked at. Had it not been for this piece the umbrella would have survived intact. The pole and the arms of the umbrella are strong and sturdy which is why I ordered another one as opposed to an umbrella I actually liked a little better but had a thin aluminum pole, BTW my cheap $20 last year end sale umbrella I had survived despite being thrown further. It did not have the tilt mechanism though.

I really like this umbrella and everything was going great until the second day of enjoying we had some moderate wind yesterday and the pole kinked when the wind caught the umbrella! The pole is definitely a thin metal aluminum type material which is why it bent so easily however I didn’t expect it to happen so quickly! Now what am I supposed to do?! An inexpensive umbrella is only a good deal if you don’t have to buy replacement parts less than a week into using it. I’m definitely disappointed but I guess you get what you pay for? I’m just glad no one was hurt.

Very very disappointed! Umberella is literally tearing apart, and unfortunately due to rain last month and we not using the umbrella and keeping it in the garage, I only just saw this defect and the window has closed to return it. Very dissatisfied

Bought the model with solar light. I had very high hopes for this umbrella, but unfortunately, the moment I opened it up, the top of the canvas fell off from the pole. The pole is attached to the canvas via a plastic adapter, and that plastic adapter is very fragile. The manufacture should have used metal instead. Had to return it to Amazon.

The media could not be loaded. I was nervous after reading several negative reviews. I was pleasantly surprised upon its arrival. There were no broken parts and it was incredibly easy to assemble. We had it out of the box and assembled in under 5 minutes. We purchased a heavy base knowing how windy it can get on a daily basis and with that we have had no problems. We just roll it down when the wind gusts are over 20mph.We are pleased with our purchase and definitely feel that it was worth the money. If you too, are concerned by the negative reviews I would say give it a try. Be smart with your purchase, add a sturdy base and roll it down when it gets extra windy.

I got this several months ago and wanted to wait to see how it held up to the elements. I've been real pleased with the sturdiness of the product with the high winds I get, and even with summer's dust and pollen, the solar panel is still working to power the lights. The lights really give off an great, clear, but unobtrusive illumination. Sufficient to hang out with friends or read a book, not so bright as to annoy the neighbors. Only complaint is the fabric fades from too much direct sunlight. I bought the tan, so all shades of it are acceptable to my space.

We've only used this a few times. Today is not a particularly windy day but this umbrella's METAL snapped and shattered a pot with a 3 yr old gogi berry in it and hit my new arborvitae. Super upset right now and expect a refund or new one sent out asap. This umbrella already had a piece of plastic broken when it arrived that I should have told seller about. My mistake.

I was surprised by the color, I was replacing a tan umbrella with this one, but trust me this is not Tan in color. It is a rusty brown. I will use it, but not real happy that it looks nothing like the picture.

Used this for about a month last summer. Really nice. Stored properly in the garage for winter. Set up this spring, and a gust of wind (nice sunny day, not any windier than usual) caught it and the plastic crank housing completely busted apart. The metal is so thin in the top pole and obviously brittle.There are no replacement parts and the seller was completely unhelpful. Only a 3 month warranty, so I guess you know how long they expect it to last. Don't waste your money. For $70 I expected a lot better quality. If I could give this zero stars, I would.

This umbrella exceeds my expectations! It actually looks like it was meant to go with my patio set. i waited til dusk to show you the lights. The top has small wind vents which I didn’t see in the description, so that’s a nice plus! The fabric is textured and very nice. The mechanism to raise and lower the umbrella works smoothly. 7-25-21 Revision:Bluu contacted me and did in fact say they would replace the umbrella. I can say that I was very pleased that they reached out and corrected the issue. Thank you Blue for the replacement - very nice.____Item is not bad, if you manage to get one that works out of the box. I should have opted for the full replacement, instead I picked the lights to exchange that did not work, problem here is that the lights are single leds that light up a light bar and in my case two of the lights were not connected at all, sounds small, but the led 'plug' was further up the slot and was not easy to get to. I ended up having to bend the end of a coat hanger at 1/8 inch in order to 'grab' the plug and pull it down to re-connect. Over all, the lightening is good, but the item is rather cheaply made. Still considering returning as all the extra effort to get all the lights working.

This umbrella was very easy to assemble and I loved the color…..BUT, one of the LED lights was out once we allowed it to charge for a day and test it. I followed the manufacturer manual that suggested you should text them to get replacement or fix. I got a response asking for pictures which I sent. After that, nothing. The other issue, as I now see on several other reviews, is the very shabby material. The fabric was frayed in multiple spots. This company obviously does not stand behind their product. There are 20 other companies on here selling very similar umbrellas. I would try your luck with them. This product and company is garbage.Update: I finally got a replacement umbrella and this one was worse than the original. The company ended up refunding me and we’ve moved on. I stand by the fact that the product is garbage, but their customer service finally stepped up. Therefore I added a star to my review.

My six year old patio umbrella is done. Faded, a bit worn from our rains, but the lights still work. I never had to change the battery. So I needed a new one. Easier said than done. Every one listed on Amazon had mostly bad reviews. Quality issues were predominant. Lights worked for awhile, didn't hold up in wind, etc. This Quictent umbrella comes off much better than most. Rugged, heavy, the heavy poles screw together rather than just snap together, the fabric offers good sun protection. Biggest problem was getting it out of the box. I don't know how they got it in. It comes with a cover for bad weather. The only one that does. Will it last for six years like my old one did? Only time will tell but I recommend this umbrella over so many others.

I was definitely concerned that this umbrella would end up bent or broken based on other reviews. However it's done great in these NE Tennessee mountain winds. We did purchase a 26lb umbrella stand and just slid umbrella thru hole in table and down inside stand. Did Not anchor it down by screwing bolt into side. We felt giving it ability to move/twist when windy would prevent stress and cause it to break. That's worked perfectly so far. We do not leave the umbrella up 24/7. Only when we need it.Easy assembly,may need 2 people if you're short in order to manuver. It's a heavy umbrella and seems of good quality. Love the solar lights as well. Price for a 9ft w/ lights was great.It's been up for about 4 weeks. Will update if need be.

The umbrella was delivered quickly and appears to be great quality for the cost. I had some trouble getting the lights to work at first, not realizing that it needed to be connected. I sent a request for help to the seller and received a response very quickly. It is a great addition to our deck and I am very happy with both the product and the seller.

The description isn't accurate. There are not as many LED's as they claim. It says four per spline and there are three. Mine had no switch to turn the lights on. Swear to God, no switch. There is no sash to tie it together to protect it from the wind. It's an accident waiting to happen. This item is worthless and I sent it back for a refund. To add insult to injury, I have to pay the postage.

Love the umbrella. I can’t say anything g good for this unresponsive seller. One month after receiving the umbrella I found it drooping over the table. The button that allows you to move the umbrella in different directions popped out along with the spring and screw. No response after three times reaching out. Amazon made good and returned my money.

I'm going on my second season with this umbrella and it has held up well. I always take it down in the Winter so the fabric will last. I recently washed the fabric and didn't realize I lost three of the hooks that hold up the bottom half of the fabric to the extender polls. I wrote to customer service through the link on my order page and told them along with emailed photos of what replacement parts I needed and within a week I had the hooks. Very friendly customer service and resolved my problem right away.I did have to replace the battery in the solar panel and found a replacement on anther web site. It is: 2600mAh 18650 Battery Li-ion 3.7V Flat Top Rechargeable Battery With Charger. So far it works perfectly.I highly recommend this umbrella.

So this was the second and third umbrella I purchased from Amazon. The first umbrella, of a different brand, didn't tilt and upon reordering, they didn't have the teal color so I ended up purchasing this one. I was very excited when it arrived. Upon opening I found that the solar panel that attaches to the top of the umbrella was not in the box. I had to return an umbrella yet again. Customer service was great and they sent me out a replacement. It was delivered timely and all the parts were included. If purchasing an umbrella, I suggest you open it immediately and make sure all the parts are included and all the functions are in working order.The color is great and the lights are a softer yellow glow instead of the harsh white.

I bought the umbrella before they were any reviews so I was a little bit skeptical as I typically only buy items with high reviews.... it is very high quality fabric material. I love the solar lights and I didn’t realize I had it smaller round light around the pole which was a nice surprise! There are two switches on it so you can use all lights together or one or the other! Highly recommend !ONLY DOWSIDE the stinking glued on stickers are a witch to get off! The media could not be loaded. Before my husband went overseas he bought 2 of the large wooden cable spools for us to use as tables. This umbrella is a great size for the table. It is very easy to assemble it. It goes up and down easily and the crank shows which way to turn it for up and then to take down. It can tilt and it has lights. It has been a bit cold here to sit under it at night with the lights on and we can't wait for it to wrm up and use it.

This is great. I got it to put on my table by the pool. It's easy to use and it is easy to open and set up. It keeps the sun off us when where setting at the table. Its is a nice umbrella and I really like the lights on it. We sit at the pool at night and the umbrella gives up a nice light to sit at the table at night with it. Its durable and sturdy and the price is great for a good made umbrella.

I like the quality of this item. However, my umbrella pole was a bit narrow thus not allowing me to fully secure the pole in place with the twist screw. Before you order, make sure the pole diameter of your umbrella works for the stands opening. I managed to wedge something in the base to compensate for this.

This patio umbrella is great. I was a little concerned about ordering one online without touching it or verifying the quality; however, I was not disappointed. We open, tilt, rotate and close it every single day and it is proving to be a wise choice indeed. Opted to be bold and go for the green color... it's a little brighter than advertised, but it looks very nice and I'm truly pleased. Would definitely purchase from this company again.

It’s a well made umbrella. This is our first one with LED lights, everyone gets excited to use it. Assembly is super easy I didn’t even need instruction. We’ve enjoyed it the first day it arrived and will for a long time!

LOVED the color (to replace an umbrella that the north winds murdered), and it's only up a few days...(I'll update as needed) but wanted to get this review out there.It's sturdy enough (remember our north MA winds?), but I have no idea how long it will last. Waiting to see. We do put it in basement in our winters, so that can't hurt!BUT had to reduce my rating, when the umbrella's crank got stiffer and stiffer and...even my husband has issues with it. So now I had to reduce my rating to what I see is a growing issue.AND then the company reached out to me to ask about my crank problem. They advised me, that though these are tested...sometimes things happen. Could they replace it? Well, yes please AND low and behold...the replacement is PERFECT. So there we go. Off to the races, well, onto the patio under the lovely lime green umbrella.

Box arrived, we set it up, all quite easy.Put it outside through the center of the table & locked it in place.LED's work well, its construction is fairly sturdy, BUT..... the lovely forest green umbrella we purchasedfaded to pale blue within 20 days & continues to do so. I suspect by the end of summer it will be very close towhite.For this reason alone I don't recommend it even though it is well built.I'll give it 2 stars simply because the LED's work it charges up well & is fairly solid construction, not at all worth what they are asking for it price wise.Just for comparison our supermarket 39$ umbrella didn't fade until halfway through its second summer.But 20 Days??, that's just pure BS!!!If aesthetics count for you don't touch this thing with a barge pole....If it were priced at say, $39.99 might be worth it otherwise keep scrolling & searching. So we got this one because we did not want to spend too much, and end up with the wrong size or one that only lasted for one year and have to buy again. We have been pleasantly surprised. The crank up/down mechanism seems much more sturdy that we expected given the cost. The material is thick enough to hold out the sun during our Florida early summer heat---it's been over 90 several days already. We store it in the down position, but sitting in our umbrella stand outside on the porch in the sun.I'd recommend this one to anyone. Right now, I think we are going to get multiple years out of it--I don't see any wear on it at all and we've been using it for a couple months or so, but only crank it up/down every couple of weeks so far given the weather. It seems to be an inch or two smaller than advertised in diameter, but it works for the space. There is a stop to keep you from cranking it too high--seems nothing will happen to that. My guess is that the first thing to go will be whatever is inside that pulls it up, but you can't see that. The pole itself looks nice and classy enough to pass by anywhere. It fits inside our standard diameter umbrella stand.

We ordered this umbrella on July 1st, and less than 3 weeks later it's broken in half. The umbrella itself is in great condition, and the lights work. There is a small metal "button" where the upper and lower half of the umbrella pole connects, and that little metal button broke. I don't know if this is normal for others or just a faulty umbrella. Otherwise, the solar panel is fine and the button to turn the lights on and off works great, the color is a pretty summer aqua that looks great. Just need to get a better way to attach both ends of this umbrella pole together.

If you're hesitant to purchase because of the price, but yet you're torn because you need a good, quality umbrella...just get it. I went round and round before purchasing, but I'm so happy we made the investment.There's a previous review that talks about tips when putting the umbrella together...read it for sure. The installation insructions are very minimal, so we missed the part about installing the LED part first. We ended up just using a ladder to attach it. You also want to make sure you remove ALL the protective packaging on the interior of the fabric or else you won't be able to fully open the umbrella.We had zero lighting on our deck and so the LED light feature is AMAZING. Update: looks brand new after removing the cover from its winter sleep. The square version is so elegant.I under estimated the size of this umbrella. It’s huge and I am very glad I bought the purple leaf stand that goes with it, perfect fit. I’m glad I measured my patio which is 10 feet wide. Be sure you have plenty of room to swing it around and open and close it. I have to swing it around to close it because of my patio furniture. This is no problem because it rotates very easily around my patio. I have utilize the cantilever to shade my garden during the hot summer heat wave.

When this arrived, the tent/canvas had some holes. We went through the return process with Amazon and they were very helpful and responsive. Before we actually returned it, my husband decided to contact Purple Leaf. They were SO helpful. We sent pictures and order information and they sent a new tent/canvas without any question. I would highly recommend this umbrella - we have thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to continue for a long time. It's easy to use and very effective. And it looks very nice on our patio. I also recommend because both Amazon and Purple Leaf were GREAT to work with us when there was a problem.

We had it out of the box and assembled in under 5 minutes. We purchased a heavy base knowing how windy it can get on a daily basis and with that we have had no problems. We just roll it down when the wind gusts are over 20mph.We are pleased with our purchase and definitely feel that it was worth the money. If you too, are concerned by the negative reviews I would say give it a try. Be smart with your purchase, add a sturdy base and roll it down when it gets extra windy.

I got this several months ago and wanted to wait to see how it held up to the elements. I've been real pleased with the sturdiness of the product with the high winds I get, and even with summer's dust and pollen, the solar panel is still working to power the lights. The lights really give off an great, clear, but unobtrusive illumination. Sufficient to hang out with friends or read a book, not so bright as to annoy the neighbors. Only complaint is the fabric fades from too much direct sunlight. I bought the tan, so all shades of it are acceptable to my space.

We've only used this a few times. Today is not a particularly windy day but this umbrella's METAL snapped and shattered a pot with a 3 yr old gogi berry in it and hit my new arborvitae. Super upset right now and expect a refund or new one sent out asap. This umbrella already had a piece of plastic broken when it arrived that I should have told seller about. My mistake.

Such a super cool umbrella. Love the solar lights around the shade and the top of shade. Only thing we were not impressed and were disappointed in was it was not rain resistant and we had to purchase fabric protector spray. We purchased 2, one red and one black. We received the red and the black will be here in a few days.We ordered two sand bag holders for umbrellas for stabilization and a couple bags of pool sand just to keep steady.Well worth the price, our opinion.

I am so impressed with this umbrella! It came out together besides having to plug in the solar panel on the top, but that was very simple. The amount of light it puts out creates the perfect ambience!! The lights have separate little switches on one of the arms underneath so you can have one or the other on or both at the same time. I love that it tilts and has the crank to lower and raise!!

Great umbrella! The solar lights are on the blueish side but do cast a nice glow to sit under and converse. The small on and off switch is a nice feature and the light beige color is more off white which is what I wanted. It is a very nice white. It also seems to be pretty durable as mine blew over in some heavy winds and survived unscathed.

The one reviewed here has that terrible, bluish super white and very dated and poor quality LED technology, and it’s incredibly dim compared to the other one.I am going to trash this noisy, floppy piece of junk and purchase another big box model which is solid as a rock.Caveat emptor.

Out of the box impressed! Didn’t feel this woul likely be a top grade umbrella given the price but I must say I think I stand corrected. The actual canopy material is much thinner than the one I paid about 4 times as much for but I have to say the pole is much better and that’s what I needed most. My pole had the tilt pin break out during a bad storm so I just needed the rod to replace the broken one but I’m so impressed that I’m going to use it as new out of the box and if the canopy fades I’ll just switch them out at that time. I think anyone would be very pleased with this at this price! If not, you must be difficult to please. just my honest opinion. The solar lights even worked right out of the box and the umbrella was neatly packaged with extra care to ensure mint condition on delivery!Ps.... it is a true burgundy/wine. Not red at all.

Came quickly, Super easy to assemble. I connected the solar cable, screwed the solar panel to the top, connected the poles and it was ready to put up! The lights came charged which was a happy surprise as we were able to use it right away. The umbrella lights are plenty bright to enjoy a summer night outside. Our old umbrella didn't have lights so I used the LED umbrella disc light seen in the pictures. This works great to add a little bit more light if needed but it's battery operated so I prefer to use the solar powered lights more often. The fabric of the umbrella is slightly reflective and the 9ft span is larger than most patio umbrellas which helps shade throughout the day as the sun moves. I'm so pleased with this purchase. I will say the pole is made of a lighter aluminum that I has hoping for but it seems to be holding up, even in moderate gusts of wind. I also wish the fabric vents in the top were larger so it wouldn't catch the wind as much which shakes the table a little. Still, overall it seems this umbrella will do the job. It functions amazingly for the price.

We love this umbrella and we think it was really nice except for one thing so I had to only give it 4 stars, now this might just be our unlucky choice, but our umbrella had so many strings/threads left hanging on it when we got it from the sewing process that we had to get out the scissors and cut about 100 strings off it was terrible....but now that we cleaned it all up its really nice. Such a pretty color and we love it!! But that issue should of been caught by quality control. So I hope its just that ours snuck through with out being checked.

Like so many things today, this product looks great and functions well in a vacuum. Put this patio umbrella outside and actually use it and you're doomed. I've had this umbrella for about 4 weeks and used it a handful of times. Last night a very light gust of wind caused the frame to shatter and the tilt joint to break. The falling umbrella also managed to take out a wall sconce. What a bonus!!! Hardly a breeze and the thing practically explodes. This is a piece of crap. I'm completely dissapointed. ---- DO NOT BUY!!!!!

Replaced a faded umbrella with this new lighted umbrella. While the material is a bit thinner than the one it replaced, but still effective. The hardware seems pretty sturdy, but only time will tell regarding longevity. The lights cast a nice glow to eat by, which is exactly what we were looking for. Assembly was very easy, and the solar panel was already connected, so not much to do with that. Item arrived earlier than Amazon said it would (2 days after ordering, and this item was not prime eligible). Minor issue with a small plastic ring that got cracked, likely in shipping. Contacting their service team via Amazon was quick and easy, and they resolved the issue to my satisfaction.

Love my new patio umbrella. The color is amazing and the led lights gave a perfect soft glow. I would recommend this product. Came in record time too!Added September 26th.I still love the umbrella. It’s sturdy and the LED lights work really well. On the downside, with a lot of sun exposure, the color changed from a rich red to a light rose pink in about 2 months. Doesn’t match my color theme at but I’m still using it. When I purchased the umbrella in early May it was $79.99 so a better deal now if you have to deal with the color fading.

Better than expected each led has a clear round protruding lens 4 led lights per umbrella rib there's a total of 32 leds.The crank is chrome plated and works well, also has a tilt so in the daylight you can chase the sunlight for the best possible charge.To day had 35 mph gust umbrella is fine sits in a heavy wooden table with a concert base color of umbrella looks great.All led's work fine battery charged well, packaging was perfect also came with a manual instructions didn't need but cool to receive, when or if this umbrella goes on sale I would like to purchase another as a back up. I searched high and low for a purple solar powered LED patio umbrella and this was the only one I was able to find.When I took the umbrella out of the box and plastic, there was dirt on the umbrella so I cleaned it off and made sure all the LEDs were working properly. After checking the LEDs, I spent several hours spraying the umbrella with UV protectant so the color wouldn't fade in the sun.After the umbrella dried, I put it up and 2 of the LEDs are not functioning. I considered taking it down and sending it back for a replacement but ultimately decided that it wasn't worth the hassle of having to repackage, ship, wait for a replacement and then having to UV coat another umbrella.It's a little pricey for the quality but it's purple and it has solar powered LED lights (most of which work) so three stars.

I just put it up so not sure how it will last but for now it a pretty color, its was easy to assemble, the lights are pretty cool. The only reason I gave it a 4 was because its not UV protected and it didn't didnt come with a tie down when not in use. I had to spend $10 more for UV spray and spray it on myself. Kinda odd other colors are cheaper then the deep purple. I only paid the extra money cause it's my favorite color. I would recommend this umbrella

Almost immediately after putting this up, the solar panel box came apart. Had to glue it back together, which seemed ok and I waited some more.From previous experience, I waited to post my review after a month of use, just to make sure and....Right after the return window was up, the poles started having issues. I now have two poles that will not stay attached, making this umbrella pretty worthless. I think I may have actually used the umbrella a total of 7 times in the last month, so it wasn't from too much use.

Excellent quality all around. So sturdy. Lights are great. Zero issues. there's nothing hard about setting it up - you just have to connect the plug at the end of the wires into the solar panel. My 7-year-old could easily do it. Just look at the top of the umbrella and connect it.There are umbrellas that are less expensive, but I knew I made the right decision as soon as this came out of the box. It screams sturdiness and high quality. My handyman (who was doing other work on my deck) just kept saying "wow" as I put this up. He's certainly seen many patio umbrellas in his life.This is a very different kind of patio umbrella than the cheap ones. I'd believe it cost three times as much. It's nicer than the ones in the outdoor seating sections at some of the restaurants we go to.You won't regret it.(I use this with shademobile's rolling umbrella base. Nice combination!)

It does what it is suppose to do. The LED lights are a nice feature. We purchased three of these to replace ones that we purchased at Costco. My wife wanted the LED lights. The sunbrella fabric is not as thick. The pipe is not as thick. This biggest issue is when the umbrella is down the handle is not exposed. It is under the umbrella. You have to reach under it and crank it a few times before you have easier access to the handle. On the last one we purchased the hand crank is extremely hard to turn when lowering the umbrella. There are end pieces are located in the middle braces and arms that protect the metal from tearing the fabric. Several of them have fallen off and we have lost a few. We apply gorilla glue when reinserting the end pieces. I attached a picture of the piece that is falling off. The hand crank that is hard to turn. The hand crank which is under the umbrella.

We love this solar umbrella for our back patio! It allows us to utilize our table in the back yard. Prior to this purchase, we were unable to make good use of our back yard kitchen area. It now get a lot of use! And we have received many comments from guests about how the lighting is perfect - not too bright but bright enough to eat, drink, and have conversation. Super happy with the umbrella. It looks exactly like what's pictured. There wont be any surprises. The crank mechanize for lifting the umbrella open and closed works well, and auto locks as your raising the umbrella. This prevent the umbrella from folding back down until your ready for it to do so. The tilt feature seems to work well. It'll tilt in two directions and then locks in place. There is a 18650 1500mAh 3.7v Lithium Ion rechargeable battery inside the solar box that attaches to the top of the umbrella. I have a charger for this type of battery so I charged it up before attaching it to the top of the umbrella. You wont need to do this but now you know what kind of battery is in it if it ever fails. It's super easy to replace if you ever need to. The LED lights all worked and look nice. You might not be able to read under it at night with the lights on, but you could easy eat under it at night as the LED lights provide plenty of light for that. I also sprayed down the umbrella with Star Brite Waterproofing and UV protectant in a spray bottle https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000AY4RE/ to help keep the umbrella from fading and to add water proofing. These type of umbrellas are known to fade their color over time, and the product I listed will help prevent that from happening and extend the life of the umbrella. You will need an umbrella base to hold the umbrella stand to keep it upright. It doesn't come with one which is fine. I thought I was going to absolutely love this umbrella with the LED lights and it would look great on my porch!! BUT unfortunately I didn't even have it for 2 months when the rods started bending in making the umbrella look like it tilted to the side and only opened halfway so when I tried to look at it and see what the problem was I saw that the joints holding the rods are all rusted. For the money I spent on this umbrella I am totally unsatisfied with it and I can't even get in touch with the seller to see if I can exchange my umbrella or get a new one!! The one I received is junk and I am very very unhappy with this umbrella. I could have bought a $20 umbrella from the Giant or Produce Junction and it would have lasted for a couple summers. This one I feel was just a robbery to your Pockets. I'm so upset and just angry over this... if anyone knows how to get in touch with the seller or what to do please let me know it has not been long since I bought it, I didn't even have it the whole summer.

After owning four of these I definitely would recommend buying a higher quality brand.1. Poles seem fine, never had an issue with them2. Material on umbrellla fades after one season, its just cheap and not well made.3. Solar lights sometimes work, they aren't bright but give a decent ambient light, but again out of the 4 umbrellas I had, only two ended up working.Wouldn't recommend this.

The 1st one we received, the box was damaged, the umbrella had a couple holes in the wind vent top, it had a dirty area on one side, and the solar lights didn't work. We returned it for an exchange. The return was so simple and the new umbrella was received in a couple days. This time the box was not damaged and the umbrella looked great, but again, the lights didn't work. This time I got out the included directions of what to do in that case. I had to take the umbrella out of the center of the patio table to get the solar top off and, sure enough, it was unplugged, just like the directions said it might be. It was easy to plug in and reattach the solar panel, and the lights worked great! But if that's the 2nd umbrella that came with non-working lights, and if it comes with directions as to what to do in that case, then I have a suggestion for the seller: (1) PLUG IN THE LIGHTS BEFORE SHIPPING, or (2) Change the directions to say to CHECK THE SOLAR LIGHT PLUG BEFORE YOU BOTHER PUTTING THE UMBRELLA TOGETHER AND PUTTING IT UP INTO YOUR PATIO TABLE. Even so, I still give it 5 stars and we are ordering another one for our other patio table. But this time, I'll check the solar light plug BEFORE putting the umbrella up!

Pretty good quality for the price. We'll see how it holds up with time. For those who are too cool for the manual: the switch to turn the lights on and off is on one of the support bars near the end on the side. Red switch. On is when the | icon is depressed. The solar panel at the top can be taken off pretty easily. Sorta turn and pull off the entire top thing. There's a connector dude inside. Make sure it's connected.

The umbrella is sturdy with metal pole and arms. It withstood some breezy wind conditions when we were RVing at the lake. Solar lights are reasonably bright. Overall a good product. On the others side of this I was missing a clear plastic lens on one of the 40 solar lights. The light works but the small lens cover was missing. The seller has been totally unresponsive to my inquiry about a replacement. It's a little thing but I want it right. The light switch is on one of the arms rather than the pole which makes it difficult to find when dark. Lastly the umbrella had no instructions. This would not have been an issue but at first the solar lights, despite hours of charging, would not work. The battery and the solar panels had been disconnected in the top of the umbrella. which required one to remove the cap to reconnect. This may be for purposes of shipping but there should be some notice to that end for those who may not know where to look.UPDATE 6/26/2020: Well last weekend the umbrella met its demise. It was being used at our RV on the lake and a very sudden and strong storm came up with wind gusts likely hitting 40 mph plus and accompanying hail. Just before my wife could get to the umbrella it took flight with the table and landed in the lot about 20 feet away breaking at the joint where the umbrella tilts. This piece seems to be cheap on every umbrella I looked at. Had it not been for this piece the umbrella would have survived intact. The pole and the arms of the umbrella are strong and sturdy which is why I ordered another one as opposed to an umbrella I actually liked a little better but had a thin aluminum pole, BTW my cheap $20 last year end sale umbrella I had survived despite being thrown further. It did not have the tilt mechanism though.

It was time to replace my former patio umbrellas that had a good run. I found these on Amazon based on other reviews and for its color scheme. I was intrigued to see the the solar lights. I love to decorate for night time use and it seemed a natural fit. I ordered 2 one for the patio table, and another for a tripod umbrella stand my spouse built for grilling. He is a dedicated grill man rain, shine, day, or night. The solar lights may come in handy for those late night grills. The images above show the gray and black stripe pattern. I included the tilted umbrella image so you can see the pattern, and that the solar panel that is mounted on the top . The solar panel will illuminate the lights on the bottom spokes come night time. I did read someone had trouble with the crank. It is similar to my former umbrella, so I manual lift up a spoke or two and slide my hand up to find the crank if it had been tightly closed. The crank is labeled to alert the user as to which way to twirl the crank to open or close it. It does have a Velcro tie strap to fully secure the closed umbrella.

The media could not be loaded. Shipped on time, took out of package and installed it by direction (easy and direct). Took outside and put it onto my table. Later that night tried lights, worked fine. About month later without even using lights since that first day I decided was a nice night to have people over and sit on deck and have a few cold ones. So as I opened Umbrella and tried turning on lights it would turn on for a split second and turn off? I tried again same thing. now it wont even turn on. 100% sunny day. Very disappointed in the quality of the electricals. The Fabric seems sturdy and hasn't faded at all but the lights...Thats the reason I got this thing.

Nice umbrellas. I previously had light up LED umbrellas from a more expensive store (something like Kohl's or Bed Bath & Beyond, not sure it was a gift) and after those had blown over and broke, I needed a replacement.This umbrella fit the bill because it had LED's just like my old one, and since I needed two, the price was right. My old umbrella was around $200, so getting two of these for less than that was a huge plus.This definitely isn't as good as the higher priced umbrella and doesn't have as many features. Old umbrella had a wired plug that could be used if the battery was dead and a switch that was located slightly above the hand crank. This umbrella's switch is on one of the splines (I guess that's what you call them) and is pretty cheap. One of my umbrellas came with a lot of loose threads on the canopy, which I simply scissored off.One of them already fell into my pool, despite being in a weighted umbrella stand and being closed. Luckily, no structural damage was done to the umbrella. The solar panel that held the battery was rusted by the time I got home and opened it up and the positive battery wire was disconnected. I was pleased to find a nice sized 18650 battery inside. I'm electrically inclined, so I'll clean up the contacts and solder the battery lead back onto the terminal, which should fix it. The battery should allow the lights to last a good number of hours but I haven't had good enough weather to sit out all night with the lights on to test this.Overall, a great umbrella for the price! Don't expect it to last forever, but for how cheap they are you can probably replace them every year without breaking the bank.

We needed a new Umbrella for our pool deck and came across this one during our search. It was on sale for a good price. I ordered it and received it within a week's time. I read the reviews prior to the purchase and the biggest complaint I came across was the lights or some of the lights not working. For me the lights were just a bonus and not a necessity. Took ours out of the box and set it up and the first night we turned it on sure enough one arm of the lights did not and does not work. We tried the replacements and they didn't fix the problem. But, as I mentioned before, they were just a bonus so no biggie. However, if there was one thing that they could definitely change on this umbrella it needs to be where the placement of the handle for opening and closing the umbrella is placed. You have to pull on the bottom of the umbrella to open it slightly to reach your hand up into it to reach the handle and then turn it to finish opening it the remainder of the way. First one we have owned where the handle was not easily accessible. If not for that issue I would have rated this 5 stars.

It makes a terrible squealing sound when you crank to open it and has a difficult time going all the way up. I paid more money to buy this one as opposed to other options on the market because I wanted something of better quality that would last more than a season. While the fabric canopy part seems better than others I’ve tried, I don't think this will last long because of the poor quality and already unstable umbrella pole & crank. It was bad right out of the box. Maybe I got a defective unit, but I’m not really happy with this quality considering the price I paid.

So disappointing. This is my second umbrella as it replaced the same one with a visible flaw in the fabric. Now this one has a defect in construction. Where the tilt is on the umbrella pole and from that point up, the umbrella has a very visible bend to it. The shade is seriously not level at all. Looks like it has a broken pole! I should have sent this back within the window of return. The problem is hard to see in the photos but it’s very obvious in person. After returning the first exact one, and now this problem, do not buy this!!! Very bad construction and this probably won’t last past this season. Ugh.

Ordered this umbrella April 7th. Was so impressed with the quality and price I ordered two more. Now, just three weeks into having these umbrellas I couldn't believe how much they have faded. All three that I ordered were green. The first one I got has been up for less than three weeks and has turned completely blue. It is still green underneath but I am amazed at how quickly the sun impacted the outside. While they were a bargain and seem to be well made it is clear that, even though they may remain intact, they will look terrible by summer's end. This is not a quality product and I would not recommend.Update 5/13/2020. Received an email from the supplier offering a $45 refund (purchased 3 umbrellas) if I would remove my review. Several days later received a second email again offering a $45 refund if I would remove my review or change it to 5 stars. Pretty poor way of doing business and trying to manipulate the review process

Bought this product with high hopes only to be disappointed by the product and company. We had it for only half the summer. One of the umbrella poles broke and another bent with less than four uses. I wouldn’t be as upset if someone had responded to my many emails.

We got this umbrella to place in our pool (there is a hole in the steps on the shallow end designed for an umbrella) and it looks perfect and provides some much needed shade. The blue and white stripes look great too! The problem is that when I took it out of the plastic wrap it came in, the piece that the round ball is supposed to screw into had broken off the top. I'm going to try to contact the company to get a replacement top piece (that isn't broken).EDITED: I tried to contact the company and never heard back (only able to "provide feedback" to company, not contact them directly. We are going to need to return this for a brand new one that hopefully isn't broken!

The umbrella looks nice and it's perfect for the cost. It's sturdy but I wouldn't trust it in a strong wind. The poles are plastic and will bend.The solar battery charges from the top of the umbrella in a few hours and it's easy to turn the lights on from a switch over the crank (pictured). I would caution buyers to assume the lights to be for ambiance rather than functional light. Even in pure darkness the lights are very visible but don't give off enough light to see much.Still, for the price, it's a nice patio umbrella.UPDATE: I've had this umbrella for over a year now and I still love it. It's the only one I've had (ever) that doesn't buckle or break in stiff wind. I wouldn't recommend keeping your umbrella up in wind, but if and when you forget --- this one holds firm. I would LOVE a version with brighter lights. For an umbrella that costs ~ of what I'm used to paying for a patio umbrella, I'm really satisfied and changed my rating to 5/5

Pros:This umbrella was a Mother's Day gift for my Mom. Mom and Dad love it. The LED lightbars are the right brightness and light up their backyard perfectly. Mom has told me that she and my Dad enjoy their morning coffee under the umbrella and love sitting under the LEDs at night.Cons:The only issue would be the light switch. It is not seated correctly and could pop out. Believe I could get some sealant (for electrical) to secure the switch and keep it weather tight.Assembly/Tips:Assembly was a breeze. Word to the wise, the Solar panel is in a styrofoam box at one end of the box. I believe the bad reviews where people didn't get the solar panel are from people who thought the styrofoam box was part of the packaging and there to only secure the umbrella.

Buyer beware. $100 for an umbrella that does not light at night. Lights up during the day in the sun... what's the point of that? I could've bought a plain umbrella for a third of the cost. I contacted the seller and was told they would check with the engineer and get back to me. That was over a week ago and I've heard nothing. Spend your money elsewhere.

Upon removing umbrella from box, I could see the color was not what was described. The "Navy" is a dark teal color, not navy; and there is a purple stripe throughout the fabric. This isn't mentioned in the description & not visible in the photo. I did not attempt to assemble it, so not sure if it's easy or difficult. Appeared to be good quality.

Such a super cool umbrella. Love the solar lights around the shade and the top of shade. Only thing we were not impressed and were disappointed in was it was not rain resistant and we had to purchase fabric protector spray. We purchased 2, one red and one black. We received the red and the black will be here in a few days.We ordered two sand bag holders for umbrellas for stabilization and a couple bags of pool sand just to keep steady.Well worth the price, our opinion.

I am so impressed with this umbrella! It came out together besides having to plug in the solar panel on the top, but that was very simple. The amount of light it puts out creates the perfect ambience!! The lights have separate little switches on one of the arms underneath so you can have one or the other on or both at the same time. I love that it tilts and has the crank to lower and raise!!

I had previously purchased $150 umbrellas for our mountain vacation home, and every few years, we would have to replace them because some short-term renters (and sometimes our cleaning crew) forget to close them when they leave. We have only used this umbrella for six weeks and the color is already faded and blotchy, the seams are starting to fail, and the edges are covered in mildew. We keep it open almost always unless there are high winds so I am shocked at the amount of mildew. I wanted to love this umbrella due to the crank tilt and the lights, but it needed to last more than six weeks. I have contacted the seller to see if they will stand behind their product. Will update later.Update: seller sent us a brand new umbrella right away and it’s great. They also followed up to make sure everything was okay. Would purchase again.

I am one year late in writing this review, but better late than never. Attached are a couple of photos so you can see how it looks after a little over a year, still looks great and lights are still working. I stored the umbrella over the winter in the garage, this summer came, opened it up and all was well, then one day, I had a little issue with the umbrella not opening all the way fully. I contacted C-Hopetree, acknowledging that I was well outside of the Amazon return policy. They did not have to respond, but much to my surprise, not only did they respond, they sent very easy to follow instructions on how to get the umbrella back in a fully opened position. I had several email communications with them and really appreciate the fact that they were there "after the sale" a year and half "after the sale"- I am planning a pool remodel this fall, so time for a new C-Hopetree solar powered umbrella - maybe Red this time.

The umbrella arrived quickly and in good condition. Easy to set up, and I made sure the battery was plugged in as reminded by many reviewers. I really like the options of having either the center light or the rib lights on, or both. It makes the umbrella more versatile - not just for use in the sun during the day, but also in the evening. I purchased this as an addition to my patio to cover a small seating area by the pool that stays in the sun most of the day. Works great. Perfect size. I purchased the teal and it is a very pretty color complementing the pool area and other accents I have. I love the crank tilt feature - I have always had a challenge with the "regular" tilt of umbrellas, and the crank feature makes it super easy. It has a velcro strap to help keep it closed when down, which, in my opinion, makes it look tidier. Other reviewers have mentioned it not seeming sturdy enough and to not use it in any breeze; however, it was up with a light breeze blowing without any issues. I do have it in an umbrella side table, not just a stand, so that may have helped it to be more stable as well. It seems sturdy enough - we will see how long it lasts. I'm please with the purchase.

Opens bigger than I thought which is great. Arrived quickly and installed easily. The lights make a nice focal point at night and in the day the umbrella provides wide coverage from the sun. The price was superb and the so far, the quality is too!!! It looks great on my deck!

Going on year 3, this umbrella has held up quite well IMO. I purchased 2 different ones the same year. The other one, same color, from Ace Hardware, started to fade before the end of the summer year 1 and the wooden pole broke in the wind at the end of year 2. This one from Sunny daze gets near daily use Summer and sporadically in Spring and Fall. Lights have worked everytime and the pole is as sturdy and Day 1. There is some slight fading on the fabric which as I recall, didn't become noticeable until the end of year 2. I included photos; I hope it shows but it is very slight.

This umbrella broke literally the 4th time I opened it. It wasn't exposed to any storm. It simply broke from using the crank that opens it. One of the arms bent as I opened it and in trying to straighten it (and I was very careful with it) it snapped in half. It looked about the thickness of a window screen frame rather than what you would expect for an umbrella frame. Additionally, the crank that opens it was acting as if it didn't want to crank properly as well. It was too bad because the light feature was nice! I would absolutely not recommend this product if it cost $1.00!!!!

I repurchased this umbrella after the first one was damaged in a big storm. I really liked the quality of the original and was looking forward to opening another. Unfortunately, the quality has gone downhill. The umbrella material itself feels much cheaper and thinner than our first one. In fact, a small gust of wind happened to take this one out if it's holder and toss it. Do now after only a few months of owning it, this one is broken.I guess it's time to switch brands.
