I’ve been wanting to try the big lots umbrella with solar lights for a few months now. I was hesitant to buy it because I thought it was too pricey, but after reading about the benefits of solar lighting I finally bought one for my little house. I love how the light comes on automatically as soon as it gets dark and I can make it really bright with the motion sensor button. It’s nice and bright in my dining room when there’s not much light coming through the window. I can’t wait to see what it looks like when everything is fully illuminated!

Box arrived, we set it up, all quite easy.Put it outside through the center of the table & locked it in place.LED's work well, its construction is fairly sturdy, BUT..... the lovely forest green umbrella we purchasedfaded to pale blue within 20 days & continues to do so. I suspect by the end of summer it will be very close towhite.For this reason alone I don't recommend it even though it is well built.I'll give it 2 stars simply because the LED's work it charges up well & is fairly solid construction, not at all worth what they are asking for it price wise.Just for comparison our supermarket 39$ umbrella didn't fade until halfway through its second summer.But 20 Days??, that's just pure BS!!!If aesthetics count for you don't touch this thing with a barge pole....If it were priced at say, $39.99 might be worth it otherwise keep scrolling & searching. Good luck!UPDATE:1 LED's stopped working several weeks ago2 The crank cord for raising & lowering the umbrella snapped. Took it to local guy who specializes in fixing these things & other expensive patio items. I was told it was poorly made not worth repairiing."not your fault" he said, people get suckered into buying these things all the time.3 The tilt joint is so poorly milled that its always askew no matter what you do.4 In 2 days time from writing this update, its trash day & IT WILL be trashed WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE!!All in all a bad product, it lasted 4 months, 4MONTHS??? Our $39.99 supermarket umbrella is back in the middle of our table & is standing straight, not askew & although a little faded doing whats required of it...

So we got this one because we did not want to spend too much, and end up with the wrong size or one that only lasted for one year and have to buy again. We have been pleasantly surprised. The crank up/down mechanism seems much more sturdy that we expected given the cost. The material is thick enough to hold out the sun during our Florida early summer heat---it's been over 90 several days already. We store it in the down position, but sitting in our umbrella stand outside on the porch in the sun.I'd recommend this one to anyone. Right now, I think we are going to get multiple years out of it--I don't see any wear on it at all and we've been using it for a couple months or so, but only crank it up/down every couple of weeks so far given the weather. It seems to be an inch or two smaller than advertised in diameter, but it works for the space. There is a stop to keep you from cranking it too high--seems nothing will happen to that. My guess is that the first thing to go will be whatever is inside that pulls it up, but you can't see that. The pole itself looks nice and classy enough to pass by anywhere. It fits inside our standard diameter umbrella stand.

We ordered this umbrella on July 1st, and less than 3 weeks later it's broken in half. The umbrella itself is in great condition, and the lights work. There is a small metal "button" where the upper and lower half of the umbrella pole connects, and that little metal button broke. I don't know if this is normal for others or just a faulty umbrella. Otherwise, the solar panel is fine and the button to turn the lights on and off works great, the color is a pretty summer aqua that looks great. Just need to get a better way to attach both ends of this umbrella pole together.

Read all the reviews and was hesitant but took the plunge. So glad I did. The color is great and I love the lighting. I bought this along with another "clip on" light fixture because I knew it wouldn't provide the amount of light we wanted. We live in a very windy area so we lower it when it's bad and haven't had a single issue with damage. We also bought a heavy weighted base for extra stability.

I love this umbrella. We got it a little quicker than expected, so that was nice. Easy to setup. Opens and closes easily using the crank. Tested the tilt and it worked fine. Many people complained about the tilt being weak and even breaking on the first use. I couldn't find any issues with the tilt. The lights had power right out of the box. I liked the fact it has a switch on the pole for the lights. I'm excited to try it at night and see how it looks. It immediately changed the temperature at our table by 10 degrees under the umbrella. If it lasts more than a year, it'll be worth it. It's less than half the price of similar umbrellas at the local DIY stores. I found several different brands of this same umbrella on Amazon at varying prices. This one was the cheapest I found.

Light is definitely helpful for eating dinner on summer nights. Very plasticky and I hope that the solar battery/panel will last for a few years. 10ft diameter is a very nice diameter. Easy to assemble and very straight forward. Fabric is the same with my other 10 year old umbrella wc I relocated somewhere else in the backyard. So I think that will last for quite a bit hopefully. The price seemed reasonable for what it is so I bought 4, 2 in tan and 2 in wine red. I think it’s a very good buy for what it is. I highly recommend it for now.

Received this umbrella and loved it, but like many others, our solar lights did not work. In spite of this, we loved the color and size so we ordered a 2nd umbrella to store. When the 2nd one was delivered there were instructions included, which were omitted from the 1st. The Instructions say to unscrew the solar panel on the top of the umbrella and insert the battery connector, which is just a plug, and replace the solar panel. Now the lights work. Hope this info is helpful.

I purchased the tan 10ft round umbrella over the summer, it had been holding up rather well, until I forget to close it during a recent thunderstorm. The wind picked it up about 2ft and then dropped it back down. When this happened, 3 of the clear caps fell off the lights and they stopped working. I emailed the company and asked if I could get a couple new caps, just to check if that was why it stopped working, but I didn’t expect anything because of all the reviews complaining about the company’s radio silence. I figured I’d give them a week to get back to me, then just use my old solar umbrella lights on it because the umbrella itself didn’t get hurt. I emailed on a Saturday afternoon, and Tuesday afternoon the UPS man is standing on my porch holding my replacement umbrella! I dug through my emails and found their response about wanting to make their customers happy, and that they were sorry for my inconvenience and wanted to make it right by sending me a new umbrella. Now I have 2 umbrellas, but I’ve contacted the local senior home, and I’m going to wire my spare solar lights onto the umbrella and donate it with some spare solar path lights placed into some tiki torches to their outdoor garden area.

Pay attention to the 1 star reviews, I wish I had. Almost all say the same thing that the joint that allows it to tilt to the side, breaks. I didn’t even open mine fully or try to tilt it before it completely broke under just the weight of the umbrella. Totally light weight plastic, worthless for a joint.Update: dealing with customer service has been a joke. Dropped off at a fedex with the preprinted label and waited 2 business weeks and heard nothing. Took two emails to get my refund after I got confirmation myself from fedex that it had a arrived and been signed for.

The color is very accurate and the build seems sturdy. Don’t really have any cons... I suppose it would be nice if a base was included or maybe some led lighting but overall this is a great buy.

I have been looking for a solution for a double table design and I have found it.This floating umbrella has a great design and simple assembly.Assembly consists of 4 bolts and two spring pin clicks. Simple!It is well packaged. It includes a small wrench for the four bolts and easy instructions with pictures.The umbrella is made of durable material that can go from storage to open in seconds.The elegant and simple handle moves the umbrella from storage to hanging.I have looked for awhile and the comparative value is impressive.Here are a few things to note. The base is light so I am going to inquire as what the company suggests to weight the base. There are screw holes that will allow for it to be secured.Take a look. I would recommend it.

It looks great and easy to operate. Assembled it myself today and I’m a 74yo woman! 😯It’s well-made and easy to put together. It’s four bolts to attach the post to the feet. All other adjustments are nicely engineered allowing manual securing of the cantilevered segment to the bottom post. That’s all.As time passes, I will update the review if the umbrella in any way fails to meet expectations. Meanwhile, I’m enjoying this fine product.FYII used the Rhino Base Mate because I can handle the sand bags myself and move the umbrella at will. I will review that product later.

We love the size of this umbrella, and the solar lights. However, it does not fit the opening of our patio table. To be fair, the diameter of the pole (1.9 inches) is given in the product photos; it's my fault for assuming that all poles are the same size. The opening to our table is about 1.5 inches in diameter. We plan to keep it and use it on another area of our patio.

We couldn't be happier with this purchase. The umbrella came packaged well, it was easy to put together and it looks fantastic!! We made sure to fill the sand bags with the right amount of weight to stabilize it and it seems to be sturdy. We've had the wind kick up a few times and it's held up really well-- we do take it down if it's too breezy. It's huge, provides a lot of shade and makes our deck look beautiful. We love that the solar powered lights and the switch on the pole that turns them on. They work beautifully! I thought we might have to install the lights, but all you have to do is attach the 3 solar panels at the top, which is a breeze, and that's it. This is one of my favorite purchases this year.

The color is beautiful just like the pictures. The umbrella is perfect just what we wanted. Love the lights at night just enough lights but not too bright that it brings bugs. A little top heavy even with a weighted bag and 100 pounds of sand. We are going to have to get some more weight. We loved this umbrella in fact got so many compliments on it from friends and just ppl walking by our house. It was everything we wanted. We used about 5 to 6 times than snap. The part that keeps it from coming down to fast snapped. Now my kids are afraid to use it. Plus when is snapped my daughter was taking it down and it snapped on her wrist. I was afraid for awhile that she broke it. (the Wrist) I hate that our beautiful umbrella that we loved so much can now only be used by my husband. Looking at other reviews it will be impossible to get a replacement part . The funny thing is I was sitting down today to give it a 5 star rating and talk about how it is perfect. If it had happened a few hours later that is the review you would have seen. Unfortunately it broke before that. If you want a beautiful umbrella but know it will probably break on you this is the perfect umbrella.

Wish I could give a zero! Solar panel lights up in daylight and by night leds are dead crank handle is cheap plastic and the last draw after 6 days pulley snapped and now umbrella won’t open up! Best Chinese products are past the 48 hour window, and I will be contacting my bank to dispute and I will not pay to ship this piece of junk back, and I refuse to let it go. Save yourself a headache and don’t buy!! It flips and wobbles all over the place and is not worth the headache! I want my money back as this is a true lemon of a product.

The plastic retainer which is supposed to hold the lever arm to raise or lower the umbrella broke immediately upon first use when I attempted to lower the umbrella. The retainer should be made of metal, to ensure that the retainer can sustain the weight of the umbrella.

I thought my solar lights did not work. Reading the reviews I found other people complained of this. THEN, I read one review that shared if they do not work, uncover the solar panel battery ( easy twist off) and connect the plug inside. Replace the the cover and voila, they lights worked even though it is very sunny. Whoever wrote that original review, I send you applause and a big thanks. I guess some came connected and others do not. It should come with instructions just in case.

This umbrella seemed to be well made, but looks can be deceiving. I bough it in April 2019 and used it 1 summer. I always took care of it like every umbrella i've owned. I have a cover for it when it's not open and when it's closed it always had a bunge around it to keep the wind from opening it. I just went out to put the umbrella down and cushions inside and the whole umbrella pole snapped in half right where the tilt button is!! There was zero wind today! I am so disappointed... i loved the look of it and the lights on it but none of that matters if the pole is made of cheap pott metal/plastic. What a waste of money. Other umbrellas of had usually last 3 or 4 years at least, as long as you take care of them.

This snapped after the first wind gust. I had it 3 weeks. I have always tied the umbrella arms to an adjacent tree, and it's always worked. My old umbrellas lasted many years. This one lasted 3 weeks due to much thinner base tube wall thickness. I'm disappointed because I like the lights with switch. In the photos you might be able to see the wind load transmits thru a very small cross-sectional area of the cast tilt adjustment hinge down to the base. And the base is not much thicker than a soup can so it fails as you would expect. Very disappointed.

I needed a new umbrella for my outdoor table. Now that spring is here it was the perfect time to buy one. The tan mat he’s my deck nicely. I absolutely love the lights feature. It’s solar so no batteries or plus needed the sun charges it al day and I can turn on the light at night for lighted dinner time outside. 10 feet it really shades the entire table and since it’s easy to tilt with the push button tilt I can face it right into the sun keeping the right area shaded depending on what time of day it is . The crank makes it easy to wind up and down. Everything about this umbrella is easy to use and works simple! It’s beautiful day and night. I would say amazing value considering it lights up price as good!

Probably would've been great but a couple important pieces were missing. The base and the part that holds sandbags. This huge thing is useless without a base!! So I did a return request. Didn't notice til I went to afix the return label that I have to pay return shipping! That would be more than the cost of the product! The media could not be loaded. This umbrella is fantastic! It's very high and 15 feet wide. It came with a base that I can put sand in it. We don't have a lot of wind here, but when it does, it's the worst wind, so that I got some sand to put in the base. The umbrella is quite robust, and the canopy's fabric weight is nice. I like the beige color which matching with my patio set and my patio dining set’s color. The shade it provides is huge. I put it in the middle of my back yard and it provides the shade for my patio set area as well as the inflatable pool for my kids. Simple to roll up and down. Patio season is almost here, and we can't wait to enjoy our patio and not to worry about the hot sun. With the quality it brings, and its price, I have no complaints.

The umbrella is nice. The lights are actually pretty bright. However, the pole that it comes with is extremely cheap! The smallest gust of wind bent the pole and snapped it in half. I tried contacting the company and no response. Be cautious on the absolutely cheap material the pole is made of. Horrible communication from the company!

Year old update: This product arrives and sets up very easily! It seemingly is a great quality and looks beautiful! HOWEVER, the lights would not consistently work within the first month. In working w customer service they provided a new solar battery and this did not repair the issue. The solar battery would store during the day and work while sun was out (when you don’t need lights) but not at all in the evening. After working with customer service multiple times they were suggesting that I do some thing on my end that just never worked. I gave up working with the company and just used it without the lights. Last month, without any winds happening and with the umbrella down, the umbrella snapped on the bend in the adjustable pole...Metal pieces came apart. No storm, no wind, and it just snapped. This umbrella is beautiful and seemingly high-quality. However, it just has been a problem for me from the start. In replacing the umbrella, I would not choose this company. Maybe it is a fluke thing but they did not replace the umbrella and make it right from the start.

I chose this one due to the negative reviews of all other companies. It’s been pretty windy with a lot of rain and I put it down for that for precaution , but happy so far. Denver sun bleaches everything instantly so we scotchguarded and bought the covers since the main selling point was that black matches the trim on our newly painted house. No fading so far and no weird damage like some mentioned. This company was great to do business with. My only gripe is that the stick to hold stability is about eight feet hight and so is the double light switch. It’s not dark yet, so you can’t tell, but the lights are just the right bright and nice you can use one or both. I’ve never seen a black solid market umbrella before. My house is white with black trim, solid black roof, and red brick. It looks très chic with the umbrellas. Just turn the lights on before you raise it unless you’re hiring a basketball player. Also, I had to plug the solar panel in on top-took two seconds, but I would have thought the lights didn’t work. The switch goes to “0” for lights and l to charge. I think my husband manually turns it off in the morning. I love my umbrellas!! So, I bought these in late May or early June. We had a lot of rain during that time so they weren’t installed until about mid-June. So many people complain about the color fading and I was worried about that as well. So here’s the update on September 17th: color is just as vivid black as when I first installed them. We sit in loungers under the lit umbrellas almost every night while the dogs get their before bed romp, and I’m struck every time by how beautiful there

Nice umbrella for it's kind, and for most can cost you up to $1,000, but one thing they all have in common is that none of them come what they refer to as a weight (stand). However for an umbrella this size, it acts as a "sturdy stand", hence given the water filled weight. You can't have any other. As it comes, your required to bolt down two cheap cross bars into your deck or slab, which now you have drilled holes into your foundation and it can't be moved! They're all necessary for this size & type umbrellas. Just another way to show a cheaper price and somewhat hide the needed weight within the description and not flag it out in front. Once you receive the product and realize this "missing necessity", you'll need to shall out another $147. It's known as selective advertising. They certainly now the need for it. Figuratively speaking, pretty soon you'll buy a car and come to find that the engine is additional. Lastly, there's no replacement cover, which also protects the solar panel that faces straight up. The cover will rot away in less than a year, due to one's climant and there's no customer service number provided and/or link. Now you know!

Purchased the water base and 12’ umbrella. Easy assembly - but BUYER BEWARE - Step 3 (Solar Assembly) should be done PRIOR to Step 2 (Umbrella Assembly). The directions call for you to step the umbrella onto the base, and THEN deal with the Solar Panel (which would be at the top of the umbrella, some 8’ off the ground).

I was very excited to get this 12' black umbrella for our deck after reading the reviews and seeing the the beautiful pictures with assorted colors to choose from. I had purchased the large base separately which fits perfectly with the umbrella. Having a solar panel to provide energy for lighting is a great idea and marketing tool but in actuality it DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY. My issues started during the assembly where it says connect the USB wire to the solar panel and feed the wire down through the middle of the top of the umbrella.....which I did. Then I attached the umbrella to the base and opened the umbrella and discovered 2 major issues: 1) The USB wire doesn't even connect to the battery from the solar panel. 2)There was a damaged support bar underneath the umbrella (see pics)I immediately looked for the support page in the assembly and operations guide to find a website with just an email and a separate email. NO PHONE NUMBER. So I emailed my concerns and they replied 2 days later saying that the battery housing needs to be unscrewed from the under structure, plug the USB into that and then plug the other end into a phone charger which then plugs into the wall. That is not what I had in mind for a "solar panel" powered light source. So I emailed again to ask how does the solar panel work??? They replied the next day saying the only way is with the phone charger method. Sent email #3 asking for them to call me on my cell since there was no phone number listed on their website or in the manual so we can discuss all the issues I am having. They called the next day in the afternoon and I could not answer for I was seeing a patient in the middle of a procedure (dentist) so they left a message saying " I am from purple leaf and calling you"...That's it! The number was a out of ordinary number with 13 numbers in the ID. I tried to call them back but could not complete the call. Sent email #4 asking to please call during my lunch hour which is 12-1 and I will definitely answer. They emailed back the next day saying they will call during the designated time and they NEVER did!!!!! I guess it's safe to say that I am using a damaged umbrella that is not solar powered and getting by with it. My message to anyone considering buying one of these umbrellas from purple leaf is that the support is a big fat JOKE and they don't seem to put any effort to stand behind their product and make things right for the consumer.Thanks!!!

So I’m getting a hot tub and we needed an umbrella. While waiting on the tub (Covid is slowing the world down to a crawl) I researched lots of umbrellas. I waited for prime day and pulled the trigger on this one. Took a few weeks to arrive. Mine arrived in perfect shape with all parts and the poorly executed manual. With that being said I’m pretty mechanical and I had it up in no time by myself. I’m 6’4” 225lb. If you are small or weak I’d get help this thing is tall heavy and awkward to put together. Initially I was very impressed by the heft and thickness of the metal parts seems like it should hold up! Most negative reviews I read are from ppl whose units were damaged in shipping or they improperly mounted them. It needs to be weighted down not screwed down (I’m sure it could prob be screwed down if done properly but...) I didn’t want to spend $80 on the sunnyglade 176lb plastic base since it had some poor reviews that said it busted and filling with sand is more money and it’s a pain. Instead I bought four 20”x20”x2” 65lb each square pavers from a box store at $6.28 apiece for a total of 260lbs of weight. As overkill I also got four 16”x16”x2” 38lb each decorative red cobblestone pavers to go on top at $4.98 each for a total of 152 additional lbs. So really the 4 big blocks would have been fine but all 8 were still less than $50 including tax and it would take a hurricane to budge the 412lb of total weight.Chose this style because it is very simple to operate. Wanted my wife to have no problems using it without help. 360° Rotation and tilt are easy and so needed.Also the color was true to the picture and it’s very brilliant. Grabbed a cheap set of umbrella lights to go underneath, can’t wait to use the umbrella with our hot tub. (getting cold now tho in Michigan 😎)

After waiting 4 weeks for the umbrella to arrive, I was so excited to put it up! And now, just a few hours later, I couldn't be more sad. I live in a rainy climate and needed the umbrella to protect my patio furniture from rain as well as sun. Big fail! The water is streaming down the inside of the umbrella. It's coming through the seams and even just straight through the fabric. Nothing about this umbrella is waterproof as it was advertised.

HUGE patio umbrella if you need to cover a big area. Built super strong. Was going to buy a Sunsetter for $3000 because of the area we needed to shade but found this instead for less than 1/10th the cost. Looks great. 20% cooler. Love it.

I was definitely concerned that this umbrella would end up bent or broken based on other reviews. However it's done great in these NE Tennessee mountain winds. We did purchase a 26lb umbrella stand and just slid umbrella thru hole in table and down inside stand. Did Not anchor it down by screwing bolt into side. We felt giving it ability to move/twist when windy would prevent stress and cause it to break. That's worked perfectly so far. We do not leave the umbrella up 24/7. Only when we need it.Easy assembly,may need 2 people if you're short in order to manuver. It's a heavy umbrella and seems of good quality. Love the solar lights as well. Price for a 9ft w/ lights was great.It's been up for about 4 weeks. Will update if need be.

The umbrella was delivered quickly and appears to be great quality for the cost. I had some trouble getting the lights to work at first, not realizing that it needed to be connected. I sent a request for help to the seller and received a response very quickly. It is a great addition to our deck and I am very happy with both the product and the seller.

I bought this specific umbrella because the description says “Coming with heavy-duty metal frame” and that the material was described as steel. I don’t think its steel it seems like aluminum because with a rain storm the metal bent on of the arms. In retrospect i should have put it down or taken it inside but I’m in Florida and these storms come through with zero warning. Idk what to think now, I feel it shouldn’t have bent so easily but at the same time the base is heavy enough that it didn’t fly off which is good and the resistance from the base and the wind underneath the large surface area of the umbrella created the force. Idk, just really sad to have spent so much money on a product that only lasted a week and to get destroyed on my birthday of all days 🙁 My advise is basically do not leave it out if you aren’t using it because why risk it, otherwise it was nice while it lasted.

This thing is a monster, covers huge area of my patio and is holding up to crazy New Mexican winds. At night the lights are bright can easily eat without the porch light. We ordered the tan color and it has turned a purplish color because of the sun. If I have one complaint it’s that the string to tie it could be longer, thinking about using a bungee cord instead. We used 4 bags of paver sand to fill the base bags and the cover stays on nicely. For the price, this is an epic find. It winds up and down fairly easy.

Wrong color (I ordered blue!), but got here a week earlier than expected. Solar lights work great. Best of all, was fine in a wind that was making my cantilever umbrella swing like crazy and start to tip. This one just puffs out a little in the wind, doesn't even scare the cats. I've only had it a few days, though, will update if it misbehaves.Update: It did take flight in maybe 30-35mph wind. No damage, yay! I usually fold it up before a storm. In this case it was overnight & not warned.Oh! And hang the tie on the same rib as the switch so you can find the switch in the dark.

The media could not be loaded. I really want to like this umbrella - I'm a little skeptical at this time primarily because the actual umbrella pole itself (not the part that attaches into the base) seems very loose, which causes the whole umbrella to sway excessively during a light/moderate breeze (I'm moving it manually in the video to demonstrate). It may be perfectly normal - it just seems excessive.The material also seems to be very thin - the other day it was excessively hot & I was sitting under the umbrella & could still feel the sun's heat radiating down on me. The color of the umbrella is Coffee (which is a darker color), which combined with how hot it was, could account for that.We had the remnants of a tropical storm yesterday - the umbrella was closed & tied and seemed to survivor fine. We also have an 85lb base (purchased here @ Amazon), which the umbrella fits perfectly into & offers great stability below where the umbrella itself snaps in.However this morning when opening the umbrella, the crank slipped a few times - I'm hoping that it was because of the internal gear mechanism being wet & not eminent of a failure,As I mentioned in the title, I really want to like the umbrella (the lights are gorgeous at night). If I knew it would last, I would give it 5*. At the end of the season (around 4-6 weeks) I'll amend the review & stars if it is allowed.UPDATE - after 1 year...My initial concern for the stability of the umbrella fortunately didn't come to fruition. The umbrella was put away for the winter in a shed.When I took it out in the spring, I noticed that the exterior color wasn't nearly as vibrant as the interior color. As the season progressed, the color difference is much more noticeable - the exterior color is now more of a dark off-white. Picture attached of nterior flipped over exterior.The fabric also seemed to have stretched a bit, as the umbrella fabric slips out of the sleeves every time the umbrella is opened - I may use Velcro or similar to try to address this issue.And there is a small tear in one section of the fabric - unfortunately, as much as I wanted to like this umbrella, I don't think it'll last much longer, because the fabric doesn't seem to be that durable. Perhaps the other colors aren't affected by the fading, but the coffee/mocha color is.As such, I have lowered my * rating to 3*

I ordered this after two other umbrellas broke within days of putting them up. I admit there was a light breeze, but nothing that would have damaged the umbrella that was previously there and had gotten old. This umbrella was reasonably priced and has the extra vents to protect against wind damage in a breeze. Now I haven't had it too long but it already has outlasted the last two. So, so far I am happy. Im absolutely in love with my back yard umbrella now. It matches perfectly with our back yard view. Instead buying expensive plastic sand boxes we installed it with concrete 16x16 paver blocks. it took my husband less then 15 minutes to assemble and install umbrella. So far very happy with purchase. Umbrella looks very well made and durable.

Great product and out of this world service . Had issues with umbrella retracting contacted seller they walked thru various steps did not function. They sent new umbrella without being asked said to keep the one I had. Two days later I did some more checking and it works. I contacted company asked them to not send replacement, they did anyway. I offered to pay for the additional umbrella. Jordon my contact stated No payment is required. You just don’t find companies very often that treat there customers that professionally .

We bought a 9' LeConte umbrella at the same time and zero issues with that one. This LeConte cantilever umbrella has the same nice, durable material as the 9'.However, the lower portion of the triangle used to adjust it up and down is made of plastic. Evidently, very cheap plastic. The very first day we had it up the very light breeze we had that day caught the umbrella and twisted the above mentioned plastic part and snapped it. Not a good first impression. We sent it back.A day or two after I sent it back I received an email from the company offering I could keep my broken umbrella and they'd send me a new one for free...no strings attached. Until, a few days later after I'd agreed to accept their replacement umbrella...then they asked if I could change my review. I'd already thought I might or at least modify my review once the new umbrella arrived and was used outside for more than a day.***Update*** it's been approximately three weeks, no umbrella, no tracking number as promised right away, no more emails and someone deleted the one's they sent. Suspicious.

Lights stopped working after the second use. First two uses they were fairly dim. After that they won’t even power up. Have already disposed of the packaging before they failed. Not worth hassle of sending back without the box it was shipped in originally. Crank to raise and lower the canopy is pretty jerky. Don’t imagine it will last long either.

I have had this umbrella a few months now. It is not used all the time so still looks new. Today there was a bit of wind & the umbrella was open . The wind wasn't that bad so I wasn't concerned about the umbrella. Well, I was wrong not to be concerned!!!! I was outside in the yard & when I looked toward the house I see the open umbrella bent over. Sure enough the bottom pole bent just below the connection to the top pole. I am not happy 🙁 I had purchased my previous umbrella about 4 years ago & still have it. Just replaced it with this one as I wanted to change the color. Guess it it back to the old umbrella (which is not this brand).

We bought this after our 3rd (THIRD!!) $250 umbrella broke in half at the tilt point in one season. We live in regular old suburbia surrounded by other houses, fences, or trees so it’s not like it’s the open plains or wind tunnel central. Out of frustration and desperation I bought this based solely on the fact that it doesn’t have a tilt bracket. It had been amazing and waaaaay better than more expensive umbrellas. Great sun coverage and sturdy. Also, it has not broken in half which might seem like the bare minimum requirement, but you’d be surprised. Big fans here, would buy again (but also thrilled we haven’t had to).

This umbrella is an excellent choice, for the size and the price, the LED lighting is a bonus. The lighting is very nice as well, not overly bright, but a warm soft white that illuminates the area very comfortably. Very happy with this purchase.

I don't like to spend big bucks on an umbrella as the sun or wind will get them before their time. This was a reasonable price and reasonable price. I did have to reinforce a couple of the truss pockets.

This umbrella is certainly big, easy to assemble and put up. But my lord, even the slightest breeze and this thing is almost sideways!!! It is wobbly and poorly made, and ridiculous. Our base is weighted so it won’t fly away, but it moves SO MUCH it is going to break in a hot second. Unbelievable. Can’t even put it up because it wobbles so much it won’t keep you covered from the sun!! Junk Junk Junk. Waste of money.

Easy to construct, very easy to open / adjust, easy to move by single person. Angle adjustments and rotation work great; I'm glad we got a unit that can rotate as it cuts down on the number of times I have to physically move it. The cover is very well though out with having a rod embedded to make it easier to slip over the top. The fabric feels substantial, so I'm sure it'll hold up a long time in our application (periodic use of only a few hours at a time a few days a week) as it'll be inside the cover most of the time.My only concern is that it seems like between the vertical track slop and the rotation lug slop that there can be fairly substantial left/right movement of the umbrella even in the very light wind we've had so far (it moves almost a full foot left/right). I'm interested to see how the mechanism holds up with it constantly rocking back and forth within the rotational slop. Tighter machining tolerances between the two items wouldve made this appear more solid.

We wanted a shaded patio without having to splurge on a giant retractable awning. This umbrella fit the bill. I like the different angles/positions you can put it in, it literally can cover my whole back patio during the day. It keeps it much cooler than without it. The storage bag is awesome, keeps it all together in one place and it looks expensive that way. The negatives: putting it together is a bit more meticulous than the video made it seem and we did have to use the video since the directions weren't anywhere to be found. You must line up the pieces correctly or it won't work. It is extremely top heavy. It will fall over if you don't secure it. We didn't want to drill into our paver patio and it wouldn't work on our lawnscape (but there are holes in the feet that you could conceivably drive metal stakes into the ground to secure it), so we bought two large sand bags to weigh it down and they work just fine, not the classiest look, but they work! Overall this is a great umbrella, but be aware you'll need to secure it and be precise with assembly.

I had given a 5 stars because I liked the quality of material. However, on second day with a small breeze we noticed that the umbrella was wobbly and leaned towards one side. We double checked the base and everything was just right but kept on swaying. Finally we figured out that the umbrella's post as it fitted into the bottom post connected to the base, the post/tube is not long enough to secure the weight and diameter of umbrella, therefore when there is some wind it plays and is wobbly and it leans to one side with its weight. It's a shame that whosoever designed it didn't consider diameter, and weight of the umbrella. Needless to say is going back.

I've purchased 2 of these, and so far, I'm 1 for 2. The first was purchased last year, and it continues to operate without any issues. However, the 2nd umbrella purchased most recently failed quickly after opening it for the first time. I had it secured within a concrete base and mounted through the center of an outdoor dining table (what I would consider a typical installation). A light breeze caught the umbrella and bent the pole. It wasn't what I would consider a remotely windy day, so it really caught me off-guard.

So far so good. Did notice as another reviewer mentioned, the rigging is just a white cord. Hopefully everything holds up. Don't use the solar feature as much as I thought I would, mainly because there's too many mosquitos at night and they love to suck my blood. The light is not very bright, anyways. If you don't think you'll use the lights, save yourself a couple bucks and buy one without. It's a good size and color. Got the blue one.***UPDATE*** never really used the light last summer. Set up this spring and the solar lights do not work at night at all, despite being in sun all day. They will turn on during the day, but not at night. So, quite useless. If you actually want a lighted umbrella, go with a different one. Otherwise, this one is a good size and nice color.

A few small tears. Love how much shade it provides. Not stable though when breezy. Even with sandbag provided filled. Just ordered another sandbag to hopefully remedy. Falling over being so top heavy is a definite safety concern.

Looks great. LED lights work. Super easy setup up. One of the main support points on top is made of plastic. With ANY amount of wind the canopy starts to torque at that point. Locking mechanisms are weak. I hope this lasts through the summer. Also the leg material is very flimsy. Again, with any amount of wind those bend as well. Will consider adding extra bags of sand outside of the sand bag container that was supplied. Definitely need to store this away when not in use or any wind present.

The first umbrella I received the lights did not work....I have to say though they stand behind their product. They issued me a new umbrella and within 4 days I received it and couldnt be happier as the lights work. I highly recommend them and their product. The umbrella is such a pretty shade of yellow and heavy duty.

Bought this to replace an old market umbrella that lasted a good 8 years. So this has big shoes to fill. Right out of the box, the quality is excellent. A good mix of metal for sturdiness and plastic where necessary. It was packed really well, nothing broken or scratched. This is HEAVY so make sure you have weights. We use patio pavers to weight it down. The lights work perfectly and it was a nice touch to have the solar option or battery. Everything is really well made. Worth every penny.Our only complain is that the directions are HORRIBLE. We had to disassemble just about every piece and redo it because the instructions were so unclear. Make sure you have two people to assemble.

Very nice umbrella and easy to put together. Took a while to receive it but is wort the wait so far. Works very smoothly and the lights are great. It is top heavy and you will need the base for it.
