Nice umbrella for it's kind, and for most can cost you up to $1,000, but one thing they all have in common is that none of them come what they refer to as a weight (stand). However for an umbrella this size, it acts as a "sturdy stand", hence given the water filled weight. You can't have any other. As it comes, your required to bolt down two cheap cross bars into your deck or slab, which now you have drilled holes into your foundation and it can't be moved! They're all necessary for this size & type umbrellas. Just another way to show a cheaper price and somewhat hide the needed weight within the description and not flag it out in front. Once you receive the product and realize this "missing necessity", you'll need to shall out another $147. It's known as selective advertising. They certainly now the need for it. Figuratively speaking, pretty soon you'll buy a car and come to find that the engine is additional. Lastly, there's no replacement cover, which also protects the solar panel that faces straight up. The cover will rot away in less than a year, due to one's climant and there's no customer service number provided and/or link. Now you know!

Purchased the water base and 12’ umbrella. Easy assembly - but BUYER BEWARE - Step 3 (Solar Assembly) should be done PRIOR to Step 2 (Umbrella Assembly). The directions call for you to step the umbrella onto the base, and THEN deal with the Solar Panel (which would be at the top of the umbrella, some 8’ off the ground).

I was very excited to get this 12' black umbrella for our deck after reading the reviews and seeing the the beautiful pictures with assorted colors to choose from. I had purchased the large base separately which fits perfectly with the umbrella. Having a solar panel to provide energy for lighting is a great idea and marketing tool but in actuality it DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY. My issues started during the assembly where it says connect the USB wire to the solar panel and feed the wire down through the middle of the top of the umbrella.....which I did. Then I attached the umbrella to the base and opened the umbrella and discovered 2 major issues: 1) The USB wire doesn't even connect to the battery from the solar panel. 2)There was a damaged support bar underneath the umbrella (see pics)I immediately looked for the support page in the assembly and operations guide to find a website with just an email and a separate email. NO PHONE NUMBER. So I emailed my concerns and they replied 2 days later saying that the battery housing needs to be unscrewed from the under structure, plug the USB into that and then plug the other end into a phone charger which then plugs into the wall. That is not what I had in mind for a "solar panel" powered light source. So I emailed again to ask how does the solar panel work??? They replied the next day saying the only way is with the phone charger method. Sent email #3 asking for them to call me on my cell since there was no phone number listed on their website or in the manual so we can discuss all the issues I am having. They called the next day in the afternoon and I could not answer for I was seeing a patient in the middle of a procedure (dentist) so they left a message saying " I am from purple leaf and calling you"...That's it! The number was a out of ordinary number with 13 numbers in the ID. I tried to call them back but could not complete the call. Sent email #4 asking to please call during my lunch hour which is 12-1 and I will definitely answer. They emailed back the next day saying they will call during the designated time and they NEVER did!!!!! I guess it's safe to say that I am using a damaged umbrella that is not solar powered and getting by with it. My message to anyone considering buying one of these umbrellas from purple leaf is that the support is a big fat JOKE and they don't seem to put any effort to stand behind their product and make things right for the consumer.Thanks!!!

My husband purchased this 10ft Solar LED Offset Patio Umbrella for me because I told him that I'd like to get something to get us more shade on our patio. So after I talked to him about that, this patio umbrella shows up a few days later! I am so happy with this patio umbrella. It's nice and big, and we have a small patio, so this large umbrella shades most of our patio now; and another great thing about this umbrella is it has little LED lights on the underside of the umbrella so later in the evening/night time I can turn these LED lights on. They give me a little bit of light, and that's exactly what I like. I don't want it to be brute when I'm outside at night because I would t want it to bother my neighbors, these LEDs give the perfect amount of light, and because this umbrella comes with a small solar panel that goes up on the top of the umbrella, I don't have to worry about cords for the LED lights because they are solar-powered! This patio umbrella is easy to put up and put down, it's just a handle that you spin in one direction for the umbrella to open up and spin the opposite direction for the umbrella to close, and it's very easy to turn. It was very simple to set up this patio umbrella, it only took about ten minutes to set it up, and I only needed one tool, and that tool was included with the umbrella. I highly recommend this patio umbrella for anyone looking for a way to shade their patio.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this umbrella and this company. The solar panel didn't even fit in the hole that it was supposed to and they are not giving me my money back. I want them to take this piece of crap back because it does me no good. Even with the 50 lb weight at the base to hold it down doesn't help which was bought separately. It wobbles in 8 mile per hour winds and the solar panel won't work. They aren't trying to give me my money back and take this piece of crap away. Save yourself and your money it's not worth it

When I got my umbrella, I planned on using it for my end of summer backyard party…the umbrella arrived with a missing solar piece, so I couldn’t use the lights at night. We were so disappointed because it was so expensive. I reached out to the seller, and we went back and forth via email for like a month and a half. They provided me with a new solar piece and gave me back $13. I am very upset about this treatment, especially since it caused so much inconvenience. I had to keep remembering to check my emails in Amazon for a lousy $13. I do not recommend. The umbrella is not even sturdy, even with sand in the base, it knocks over. Bad quality and bad service.

Great value as well considering umbrellas of this size and quality are going for $500-$700!We encountered an assembly error when we put the umbrella up. It was SO hard to crank open and once we got it open, we could not close it. I emailed the customer service email for help. Customer service had replied back apologizing profusely and ready to send a replacement. They were asking for pictures of the umbrella so they can see what was going on with the umbrella.I was inspecting the umbrella and saw that when we attached the umbrella together, the cord that opens the umbrella had managed to get wrapped around the secure pin at the top of the umbrella. Once we got it loose, it worked like a dream! As smooth as butter!We have secured it to our deck and it’s working great! If you’re not securing it to your deck, you will need to purchase the weighted base, sold separately. It is way too top heavy to not be secured to anything.It’s pretty user friendly once you get the hang of it. Just make sure not to have it near a window or near your house when you’re learning how to raise it and open it. For reference, I am 5’4” and have to stand on my tip toes to be able to open it. See video.Absolutely love it! Best part is I can enjoy my deck with no sun in my eyes! If you’ve made it this far then just buy it already!UPDATE: It’s been 3 months since we’ve had this umbrella and it is by far my most favorite and BEST value purchase so far this summer! He apologized, explained the construction improvements to the hinge (that broke on my umbrella) after my initial purchase, and without hesitation told me he was sending me a new umbrella at no cost to me. WOW! I am so impressed with this company and their customer service. I received the replacement umbrella - it's already up and ready to go in my yard. Thanks again to the CEO for providing me with exceptional customer service!07/05/2020 UPDATED REVIEW: the umbrella has been great...but not anymore. Regardless of the umbrella’s position (fully open and perpendicular to the ground or angled), I just discovered a severe crack in the hinge/joint where the vertical pole and the arched pole intersect. The crack is so bad it’s just a matter of time before it will be unusable. I am SO DISAPPOINTED! The hinge/joint is plastic - perhaps that’s the problem. I don't know, but a 10ft umbrella should have more robust parts! I purchased this in May - only lasted 2 months. Grrrr!!! I was disheartened that the manufacturer did not clearly advertise that the umbrella would not work until you bought the separate base.It took 8 days to get the umbrella. And it will take another 11 days to get the base. I find that shipping time to be ridiculous. I actually ordered the base on April 27, and it hasn’t even been shipped yet and today is May 4.

We had an issue with our umbrella the second use- the small plastic piece near the lock snapped. I reached out to the company to see if they could send a replacement part and explained it was an accident and how could we work together to fix it. I included a photo with my message and a few hours later I had a response from the company. They generously offered to send a new umbrella! Their customer service rep- I believe Jeremy was so understanding and went above and beyond my ask. The replacement umbrella arrives quickly so we can enjoy our outdoor patio all day long. I was so impressed with their customer service you just don’t see dedication to do right by the product and the consumer every day.The umbrella itself is very easy to set up. It’s a very heavy umbrella and may need two people to get it set up. The base can be used with several types of weights. I opted for a sand bag weight because the patio we have is stone and felt sand weights would work best. So far so good!

Update. Down to 4 stars- I still really like it but the cantilever locking mechanism slides down when it gets hot out.I have seen a couple reviews where they complain about the base, but if you are just going to build it into a wall (what I did) or put it in concrete in the ground this is the one. And honestly if I may suggest--skip the $500 ones and pay someone to install it. Mine is in the wall, collared at the top so it can't come out, resting on the base so it can swivel 360 degrees. If I didn't have a handy wall, I'd have put it in concrete in the ground but in that case I'd be more limited in my swivel.Cheap, sturdy, easy to use, the lights are built into the rails, and they stay on all night from a charge.Reasons it doesn't get 5 overall (the solar panel is really hard to put in (enough that I was worried I would break it putting it in) and the color is off. I ordered Maroon, and its closer to Ferrari red. Shrug. When the material dies in the AZ sun I'll pick a fabric in the exact color I want and use the frame.

I had previously purchased $150 umbrellas for our mountain vacation home, and every few years, we would have to replace them because some short-term renters (and sometimes our cleaning crew) forget to close them when they leave. This resulted in the wind knocking them over and ripping their fabrics apart.My wife's old house used to have them too, and even though they were closed after each use, their cloth still fell apart after 5 or so years. This time, we wanted to help my parents choose something much sturdier for their newly-remodeled backyard but without spending the $800+ that brand names charge. The reviews for Jearey had generally been good.It has been 7 months and the umbrella is still in great condition. Promising.The base was not included. We purchased one that accepts a 2" pole and filled it with sand to weigh it down.

Bought this to replace an old market umbrella that lasted a good 8 years. So this has big shoes to fill. Right out of the box, the quality is excellent. A good mix of metal for sturdiness and plastic where necessary. It was packed really well, nothing broken or scratched. This is HEAVY so make sure you have weights. We use patio pavers to weight it down. The lights work perfectly and it was a nice touch to have the solar option or battery. Everything is really well made. Worth every penny.Our only complain is that the directions are HORRIBLE. We had to disassemble just about every piece and redo it because the instructions were so unclear. Make sure you have two people to assemble.

My husband put this together by himself, easy assembly but very heavy! You definitely need the weights to place on the feet. It will not stand on its own! We purchased the 4 piece weights from Amazon that clip around the feet and you put water or sand in them. The solar lights are an added extra we didn’t know we couldn’t live without. We are the talk of the town. The umbrella looks like a UFO on our deck, so cars slow down on our back road to check it out. That’s a win!

I like the umbrella and lights. They appear to be good quality.I just assembled it and when you raise the umbrella, the whole thing wants to tip over.You definitely need to add some weights to the base to stabilize it.

Im absolutely in love with my back yard umbrella now. It matches perfectly with our back yard view. Instead buying expensive plastic sand boxes we installed it with concrete 16x16 paver blocks. it took my husband less then 15 minutes to assemble and install umbrella. Great product and out of this world service . Had issues with umbrella retracting contacted seller they walked thru various steps did not function. They sent new umbrella without being asked said to keep the one I had. Two days later I did some more checking and it works. I contacted company asked them to not send replacement, they did anyway. I offered to pay for the additional umbrella. Jordon my contact stated No payment is required. You just don’t find companies very often that treat there customers that professionally .

We bought a 9' LeConte umbrella at the same time and zero issues with that one. This LeConte cantilever umbrella has the same nice, durable material as the 9'.However, the lower portion of the triangle used to adjust it up and down is made of plastic. Evidently, very cheap plastic. The very first day we had it up the very light breeze we had that day caught the umbrella and twisted the above mentioned plastic part and snapped it. Not a good first impression. We sent it back.A day or two after I sent it back I received an email from the company offering I could keep my broken umbrella and they'd send me a new one for free...no strings attached. Until, a few days later after I'd agreed to accept their replacement umbrella...then they asked if I could change my review. I'd already thought I might or at least modify my review once the new umbrella arrived and was used outside for more than a day.***Update*** it's been approximately three weeks, no umbrella, no tracking number as promised right away, no more emails and someone deleted the one's they sent. Suspicious.

The first umbrella I received the lights did not work....I have to say though they stand behind their product. They issued me a new umbrella and within 4 days I received it and couldnt be happier as the lights work. I highly recommend them and their product. The umbrella is such a pretty shade of yellow and heavy duty.

Looks great. LED lights work. Super easy setup up. One of the main support points on top is made of plastic. With ANY amount of wind the canopy starts to torque at that point. Locking mechanisms are weak. I hope this lasts through the summer. Also the leg material is very flimsy. Again, with any amount of wind those bend as well. Will consider adding extra bags of sand outside of the sand bag container that was supplied. Definitely need to store this away when not in use or any wind present.

This umbrella was easy to put together. Unfortunately, it arrived broken. The outside umbrella cap came out of the box completely removed from the umbrella. We superglued it, but it seems unlikely to stay. It also has holes in the canopy. Because we waited for a nice day to put it together, we are outside the return window, which is less than a month!Update: Bluu contacted us via email, apologized that the product had broken during transit, and, despite being outside the return window, understood our dilemma and offered to replace the umbrella or to refund our purchase entirely. Their customer service was responsive, professional, and appreciated.

The media could not be loaded. The shade is amazing - super thick and sturdy. It is the frame of the umbrella that is not very stable. It creaks from side to side in the slightest breeze and makes me think one of the arms will break in a stronger breeze. I'm not afraid it will topple over because we bought the weights for the base, it's the heavy umbrella where it doesn't seem the arms are strong enough to keep it steady... The media could not be loaded. I love this umbrella. I also bought the BLUU 4 pc 230 lbs Water & Sand Weighted Base... so it won't tip over when it's windy. I am temporarily using it over my pond until we get some trees planted to shade the pond on sunny days.I LOVE the fact the base turns which was super helpful in the limited space I have on one side of my pond. I also think the tilting positions is great it is super easy to maneuver. I have four other outdoor umbrellas and this is my favorite. The features alone make it worth every penny, and it is sturdy and looks like the material will last a white.I highly recommend this umbrella. I have had it for about a week and a half and had the weighted base for almost a week. The weighted base is great. I filled mine with sand, but if needed I will add water to make them a little heaver. I recommend the base if you aren't going to put something in the legs of the unbrella stand to hold it to the ground. I bought another companies base, but it didn't work well for this umbrella for what I needed.In the video you can see it was windy and the base doesn't move at all. I filled the base with sand.

I don’t love anything about this umbrella except the actual ability to block the sun and the color. We’ve never been able to get the LED lights work despite trying every which way it says on the directions. It is also a pain to put it up and down. Nothing about it is easy. It’s fine once it’s up but you can’t just leave it up all the time.

This is one of my favorite patio umbrellas I've ever bought. It's very easy to open or tilt. It has five tilt positions to adjust the angle to your liking when the sun moves across the sky. The cover is also made of good material and very easy to clean. The material of the umbrella pole is made of aluminum to resist rust and scratches, it is very worth buying

I received the LKINBO 10 FT Offset patio umbrella with the Solar LED lights.The box was missing the parts to connect the umbrella to the umbrella stand.I clicked on the link for help from LKINBO. Customer Support called me that dayto help. Another umbrella was shipped and I got it 4 days later all the parts werethere. Base installed easily into concrete and so far has been extremely sturdy. Had an issue with one of the two I ordered having defective part and manufacturer did not hesitate to send out replacement.

UPDATED 8/16/21 - Well, I finally was able to get the umbrella set up after receiving instructions from the mfr. While the umbrella did not stand up with the provided base, I purchased the rolling base from Purple Leaf and it now seems VERY stable, rolls well, swivels well. And the customer service (that occurred presumably from my review since I didn't call) was exceptional. They followed up to see if I figured it out and it was working, sent instructions and videos. My rating would be a 5* if I didn't have to ask for instructions. A large printout like what was sent to me should be in the box and the video link was very helpful and could also be provided.ORIGINAL REVIEW - Well, as other have said the instructions are crap. It took so much longer putting it together than it should have while trying to figure out the picture instructions which were very confusing. I think the manufacturer should say that the included cross stand will NOT hold the umbrella up WITHOUT being weighted down or bolted to the ground. I thankfully ordered the rolling base which I'm waiting for so I won't be using it until that arrives since it won't stand up and I don't want to anchor it. Other than instructions and the inability to use it out of the box (without bags of sand or anchoring), I can't give it a 5*...but it seems sturdy so we'll see.

Beware this umbrella pictures the base but does not come with it. It doesn’t state it’s sold separately. I now have to buy the base for like $160. I would have purchased the more expensive, nicer octagon umbrella that came with the base had I known. It would have ended up at the same price for a nicer umbrella

We bought this umbrella last summer and spent 4 times as much, but we sold it with our old house. This version purchased for our new home was not only much less expensive, it also came nearly fully assembled! All I had to do was pop a few parts together, no husband required.I will say that there is a step missing in the instructions; I found a random long, silver straight pin and worked out that this connects the top to the base. I really didn't think I could find a nice, sturdy offset umbrella for under $70, but its seems I have. Ordered on 8/14, finally arrived on 8/29 in a long heavy box. Unboxing and initial assembly was pretty straightforward - bolting the pole to the four base legs, that part was easy. What really threw me was figuring out the wire to solar panel part, the wire that plugs into the solar panel appeared - at least at first- to be a good couple of inches short. The tiny illustrations on the assembly directions were no help at all. At last after wiggling said wire back and forth a few times it finally gave those needed inches from under the cap. Final assembly really would be easier with two people but I managed solo. Had to adjust the position of the base a few times as fully open it was hitting the roof and gutters and will require more adjustment as time and the season changes. So far, it's good. I was hoping the blue color would be more turquoise, but it's more of a royal blue that goes with today's Washington skies. The LED lights are a cool white but add nice ambience. You can see the difference in the photo with my IKEA solar lanterns - they are more of a warm white. Overall, pretty happy with my purchase, with the base bags, sand and the umbrella about $100.

If you live in an area with little to no wind, this is a great hanging umbrella for the price.However, if you live in an area with regular 5mph+ winds/gusts, be aware that this umbrella will swing in the wind a lot. It was just something I didn't even consider when purchasing. However, I thought that even small gusts it would be find. That was until it bonked me on the head when I was standing under it, and noticed the wind wasn't very strong at all.My other standard patio umbrella was not moving whatsoever in the wind with its base and everything, but because this one hangs from the top, any wind that hits it pushes that side downward or upward very much.So basically, this is a great hanging umbrella for the price. But if you're looking to have some shade with it on any slight windy/gusty day, the thing will swing around like a monkey hanging from a tree.Edit: added video to show what it is like in about 10-20mph winds next to another standard umbrella.

Great shade most of the day. Umbrella is taller and so sun may have more chance to reach under early in the day. Height is an advantage for my husband. Umbrella has protected us from rain, maybe a few drops inside all summer. Frame is sturdy and I’d say well built, but will also say I had some trouble lining up the two sections of the pole. The two screws would not align at same time, one or the other would align. Measuring, they never would have. I made one of the holes longer with a drill, you may need to send back. Instructions weren’t complete nor detailed. A mosquito screen for this umbrella is specially designed, will cost $$$. A tad wobbly, but holds up to winds up to about 25 MPH while open, I close it when winds expected are over 15 MPH as a precaution. Bought the ABBA umbrella base, large and filled with sand, secured cross metal bae to ground with stakes that look like corkscrews. Opening and closing the umbrella is easy and efficient, system is well made. Thick, heavy metal parts with good hardware. Overall very happy with purchase.

I don’t love anything about this umbrella except the actual ability to block the sun and the color. We’ve never been able to get the LED lights work despite trying every which way it says on the directions. It is also a pain to put it up and down. Nothing about it is easy. It’s fine once it’s up but you can’t just leave it up all the time.

Purchased it with a lot of caution not knowing what I was going to get. But the outdoor umbrella is beautiful, looks amazing, easy to install (no tools needed, everything is included), looks sturdy and great value / price . Recommend it thoroughly.However maker sure to get the set of four weights to weigh it down unless you plan to anchor it to the floor.

The fabric on our last umbrella gave out, so we were glad to find the same product under a new name. We are delighted with the design improvements. We installed it on the same platform, which is bolted to our patio. The operations are simple and easy, and provide for great shade versatility. The solar panel at the top power the lights inside. We plan to bring the umbrella inside over the winter to prolong the fabric life. We use this daily. It is worth the price.

I just received this umbrella and there is nothing wrong with it.Unfortunately, I'm looking for something sturdier that can handle more than a gentle breeze.Pro: Love the blue color.Cons: When the umbrella arm is fully extended, it wobbles a bit too much, even under a gentle breeze, almost as if the umbrella was held by a single, tiny string. Also, under the same conditions, the main support pole (1.9inch) definitely shows a bend to it, as if it could not support the weight of the umbrella. Finally, the material (200gsm) will not last more than a season or two.Maybe, this is what you get for $150. And if you are looking for something to use in a protected patio, this is the item for you, since it looks nice, and is easy to assemble.In my case, I am looking something that can handle a bit more wind, and that will last longer.

This was a great deal based upon the prices I’ve seen elsewhere. Quality is not bad. I’ve seen better locking and raising mechanisms on higher priced umbrellas but I can live with this for the money. Lights are great. I just screwed the base into my deck. Did not need that additional base. Suggest purchasing a cover for longevity.

Loved this at first and would of given it a 5+. The solar panel worked great and the lighting was absolutely stunning yet convenient.I used this on my ground floor patio to give us a safe space to relax, regardless of the weather. Rain, snow, nail clippings, bubbles and even spiders drop from the 2 patios above my apartment.The stand didnt work for the space I had to work with so I purchased a separate stand that came with sand already in it. That worked for about 3 weeks before the pole that held it to the stand snapped off. The 2nd (and final) stand I purchased came with 2 duffle-like bags but no sand or anything (to fill it). I ended up buying 200lbs of fine sand from a pet store online (type used in animal habitats).Finally moved the new stand into position, filled the duffle-like bags (didn't want the sand to get harder to move later so I kept in their original bags and placed them inside each duffle-like bag),and put the umbrella in, I tested it. That's when I noticed a gap between the top of the umbrella and the top of the pole and a wire hanging out if the solar panel. I fear moving from stand-to stand-to stand forced the umbrella to disconnect from the top of the pole which forced the one wire to detach from the set if wires in the solar panel. I tried the lights and noticed the middle light won't turn on (the rib lights still work). I tried to fix it but it is too short. Please see pictures attached. I'm not sure if this is a me thing or the umbrella isn't durable enough to be moved from place to place without hurting it.

The lights don't work. I followed the instructions and even contacted the seller and followed the instructions they gave me after purchase, but the lights don't work. I've had 2 other umbrellas with solar powered lights (different vendor), and that's why I bought a third. It's a nice umbrella, though. I think I just got a dud.

I walked out this morning on a calm sunny day in Florida to see the almost new umbrella had decapitated itself. The cheap material used to attach the fabric to the main canter arm had suffered fatigue and simply fallen apart. The cheap base metal bracket on top had also fractured in several places. Being as the unit is riveted together, it is beyond repair. Yet Amazon tell me the return window closed 8 weeks after purchase. Really? That is all the warranty they will stand behind on this feeble worthless product? It is supposed to be a patio feature. Therefore should be strong enough to live outside. Obviously, it needs to be re-engineered to do so and I need to be reimbursed for my time and trouble not to mention the disappointment of my wife and children.

The good: It's cheap.The bad: It's cheap. Buyer is not getting a bargain.- Construction is flimsy plastic wherever possible- the packing was not protective so it arrived with the chrome on the handle damaged (though I expect this to wear quickly based on the low quality).- Thin material- Poor design.. switch for the leds is on the highest point when the umbrella is open. I am 6'4 and on my tiptoes reaching for it. The less don't turn off when the umbrella is down, so you'll have to hit the switch somewhere in the middle of cranking.If I get 2 or 3 seasons out of this it will probably be a lot.

**This review may get updated.**This umbrella seems like ok quality. Was not able to use due to not receiving any screws to put it together. Also the base of the umbrella has a square block and does not fit into a regular umbrella base holder. May possibly return if we can't find a base (which we purchased but not have to return) and screws to fit.

You will need the sand bags fir this umbrella unless you bolt it down. If it gets too breezy, we put it down as the umbrella t mores around quiet a bit We don't want to risk the wind damaging it. The lights work great from the solar panel attached. With the sandbags weighing it down, it becomes to heavy to move around, so position where you want it before adding the weight.

This umbrella is extremely top heavy, very hard to secure & non returnable. It also sways & turns if it’s a little windy. So if your unsatisfied with the product you’re stuck with it. Not worth the money I spent. The only redeeming quality about this umbrella were the solar lights inside. Other then that don’t bother purchasing.
