Super happy with the umbrella. It looks exactly like what's pictured. There wont be any surprises. The crank mechanize for lifting the umbrella open and closed works well, and auto locks as your raising the umbrella. This prevent the umbrella from folding back down until your ready for it to do so. The tilt feature seems to work well. It'll tilt in two directions and then locks in place. There is a 18650 1500mAh 3.7v Lithium Ion rechargeable battery inside the solar box that attaches to the top of the umbrella. I have a charger for this type of battery so I charged it up before attaching it to the top of the umbrella. You wont need to do this but now you know what kind of battery is in it if it ever fails. It's super easy to replace if you ever need to. The LED lights all worked and look nice. You might not be able to read under it at night with the lights on, but you could easy eat under it at night as the LED lights provide plenty of light for that. I also sprayed down the umbrella with Star Brite Waterproofing and UV protectant in a spray bottle https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000AY4RE/ to help keep the umbrella from fading and to add water proofing. These type of umbrellas are known to fade their color over time, and the product I listed will help prevent that from happening and extend the life of the umbrella. You will need an umbrella base to hold the umbrella stand to keep it upright. It doesn't come with one which is fine. I thought I was going to absolutely love this umbrella with the LED lights and it would look great on my porch!! BUT unfortunately I didn't even have it for 2 months when the rods started bending in making the umbrella look like it tilted to the side and only opened halfway so when I tried to look at it and see what the problem was I saw that the joints holding the rods are all rusted. For the money I spent on this umbrella I am totally unsatisfied with it and I can't even get in touch with the seller to see if I can exchange my umbrella or get a new one!! The one I received is junk and I am very very unhappy with this umbrella. I could have bought a $20 umbrella from the Giant or Produce Junction and it would have lasted for a couple summers. This one I feel was just a robbery to your Pockets. I'm so upset and just angry over this... if anyone knows how to get in touch with the seller or what to do please let me know it has not been long since I bought it, I didn't even have it the whole summer.

After owning four of these I definitely would recommend buying a higher quality brand.1. Poles seem fine, never had an issue with them2. Material on umbrellla fades after one season, its just cheap and not well made.3. Solar lights sometimes work, they aren't bright but give a decent ambient light, but again out of the 4 umbrellas I had, only two ended up working.Wouldn't recommend this.

The media could not be loaded. Shipped on time, took out of package and installed it by direction (easy and direct). Took outside and put it onto my table. Later that night tried lights, worked fine. About month later without even using lights since that first day I decided was a nice night to have people over and sit on deck and have a few cold ones. So as I opened Umbrella and tried turning on lights it would turn on for a split second and turn off? I tried again same thing. now it wont even turn on. 100% sunny day. Very disappointed in the quality of the electricals. The Fabric seems sturdy and hasn't faded at all but the lights...Thats the reason I got this thing.

Nice umbrellas. I previously had light up LED umbrellas from a more expensive store (something like Kohl's or Bed Bath & Beyond, not sure it was a gift) and after those had blown over and broke, I needed a replacement.This umbrella fit the bill because it had LED's just like my old one, and since I needed two, the price was right. My old umbrella was around $200, so getting two of these for less than that was a huge plus.This definitely isn't as good as the higher priced umbrella and doesn't have as many features. Old umbrella had a wired plug that could be used if the battery was dead and a switch that was located slightly above the hand crank. This umbrella's switch is on one of the splines (I guess that's what you call them) and is pretty cheap. One of my umbrellas came with a lot of loose threads on the canopy, which I simply scissored off.One of them already fell into my pool, despite being in a weighted umbrella stand and being closed. Luckily, no structural damage was done to the umbrella. The solar panel that held the battery was rusted by the time I got home and opened it up and the positive battery wire was disconnected. I was pleased to find a nice sized 18650 battery inside. I'm electrically inclined, so I'll clean up the contacts and solder the battery lead back onto the terminal, which should fix it. The battery should allow the lights to last a good number of hours but I haven't had good enough weather to sit out all night with the lights on to test this.Overall, a great umbrella for the price! Don't expect it to last forever, but for how cheap they are you can probably replace them every year without breaking the bank.

We needed a new Umbrella for our pool deck and came across this one during our search. It was on sale for a good price. I ordered it and received it within a week's time. I read the reviews prior to the purchase and the biggest complaint I came across was the lights or some of the lights not working. For me the lights were just a bonus and not a necessity. Took ours out of the box and set it up and the first night we turned it on sure enough one arm of the lights did not and does not work. We tried the replacements and they didn't fix the problem. But, as I mentioned before, they were just a bonus so no biggie. However, if there was one thing that they could definitely change on this umbrella it needs to be where the placement of the handle for opening and closing the umbrella is placed. You have to pull on the bottom of the umbrella to open it slightly to reach your hand up into it to reach the handle and then turn it to finish opening it the remainder of the way. First one we have owned where the handle was not easily accessible. If not for that issue I would have rated this 5 stars.

Super Easy to put together! Nice construction. I like the ring light around the pole that is controlled by its own switch as well as the rib LED light points with their own switch. I really like the strap closure with Velcro instead of just tiring two strips of fabric together.

The media could not be loaded. I was nervous after reading several negative reviews. I was pleasantly surprised upon its arrival. There were no broken parts and it was incredibly easy to assemble. We had it out of the box and assembled in under 5 minutes. We purchased a heavy base knowing how windy it can get on a daily basis and with that we have had no problems. We just roll it down when the wind gusts are over 20mph.We are pleased with our purchase and definitely feel that it was worth the money. If you too, are concerned by the negative reviews I would say give it a try. Be smart with your purchase, add a sturdy base and roll it down when it gets extra windy.

I got this several months ago and wanted to wait to see how it held up to the elements. I've been real pleased with the sturdiness of the product with the high winds I get, and even with summer's dust and pollen, the solar panel is still working to power the lights. The lights really give off an great, clear, but unobtrusive illumination. Sufficient to hang out with friends or read a book, not so bright as to annoy the neighbors. Only complaint is the fabric fades from too much direct sunlight. I bought the tan, so all shades of it are acceptable to my space.

We've only used this a few times. Today is not a particularly windy day but this umbrella's METAL snapped and shattered a pot with a 3 yr old gogi berry in it and hit my new arborvitae. Super upset right now and expect a refund or new one sent out asap. This umbrella already had a piece of plastic broken when it arrived that I should have told seller about. My mistake.

The umbrella has a great price point and comes with a very heave base! The solar lights are beautiful but not very bright. Definitely just for looks. It’s easy to crank open and closed and is much bigger than expected which is awesome because our backyard has NO shade!

Received this umbrella and loved it, but like many others, our solar lights did not work. In spite of this, we loved the color and size so we ordered a 2nd umbrella to store. When the 2nd one was delivered there were instructions included, which were omitted from the 1st. The Instructions say to unscrew the solar panel on the top of the umbrella and insert the battery connector, which is just a plug, and replace the solar panel. Now the lights work. Hope this info is helpful.

I purchased the tan 10ft round umbrella over the summer, it had been holding up rather well, until I forget to close it during a recent thunderstorm. The wind picked it up about 2ft and then dropped it back down. When this happened, 3 of the clear caps fell off the lights and they stopped working. I emailed the company and asked if I could get a couple new caps, just to check if that was why it stopped working, but I didn’t expect anything because of all the reviews complaining about the company’s radio silence. I figured I’d give them a week to get back to me, then just use my old solar umbrella lights on it because the umbrella itself didn’t get hurt. I emailed on a Saturday afternoon, and Tuesday afternoon the UPS man is standing on my porch holding my replacement umbrella! I dug through my emails and found their response about wanting to make their customers happy, and that they were sorry for my inconvenience and wanted to make it right by sending me a new umbrella. Now I have 2 umbrellas, but I’ve contacted the local senior home, and I’m going to wire my spare solar lights onto the umbrella and donate it with some spare solar path lights placed into some tiki torches to their outdoor garden area.

Pay attention to the 1 star reviews, I wish I had. Almost all say the same thing that the joint that allows it to tilt to the side, breaks. I didn’t even open mine fully or try to tilt it before it completely broke under just the weight of the umbrella. Totally light weight plastic, worthless for a joint.Update: dealing with customer service has been a joke. Dropped off at a fedex with the preprinted label and waited 2 business weeks and heard nothing. Took two emails to get my refund after I got confirmation myself from fedex that it had a arrived and been signed for.

We love the size of this umbrella, and the solar lights. However, it does not fit the opening of our patio table. To be fair, the diameter of the pole (1.9 inches) is given in the product photos; it's my fault for assuming that all poles are the same size. The opening to our table is about 1.5 inches in diameter. We plan to keep it and use it on another area of our patio.

We couldn't be happier with this purchase. The umbrella came packaged well, it was easy to put together and it looks fantastic!! We made sure to fill the sand bags with the right amount of weight to stabilize it and it seems to be sturdy. We've had the wind kick up a few times and it's held up really well-- we do take it down if it's too breezy. It's huge, provides a lot of shade and makes our deck look beautiful. We love that the solar powered lights and the switch on the pole that turns them on. They work beautifully! I thought we might have to install the lights, but all you have to do is attach the 3 solar panels at the top, which is a breeze, and that's it. This is one of my favorite purchases this year.

I really like this umbrella and everything was going great until the second day of enjoying we had some moderate wind yesterday and the pole kinked when the wind caught the umbrella! The pole is definitely a thin metal aluminum type material which is why it bent so easily however I didn’t expect it to happen so quickly! Now what am I supposed to do?! An inexpensive umbrella is only a good deal if you don’t have to buy replacement parts less than a week into using it. I’m definitely disappointed but I guess you get what you pay for? I’m just glad no one was hurt.

Bought the model with solar light. I had very high hopes for this umbrella, but unfortunately, the moment I opened it up, the top of the canvas fell off from the pole. The pole is attached to the canvas via a plastic adapter, and that plastic adapter is very fragile. The manufacture should have used metal instead. Had to return it to Amazon.

This a a very nice big square umbrella, but there are tiny holes at the top near the stitching. Not sure they are supposed to be there as it IS vented at the top- these are not vents. Have contacted seller so we will see...It is not heavy canvas so secure on a windy day. Also see customer reviews and product description on how to use since there are no directions included

My table sits 6 and gives a good amount of shade. The best part is that it tilts so when the sun moves you can move the shade as well.At night it gives a perfect amount of light! Charges up great via solar. We take it down and put it away during the wet season and it’s not heavy to maneuver around. This umbrella is exactly what I wanted!

I’ve had it for over a month so now I can’t return it and the lights don’t work anymore. I would’ve gotten any other umbrella if I had the option that I knew the lights for going to break. Very happy with purchase! Item shipped WAY quicker than anticipated- delivery date initially said 1mo out (suspect it was to ship from China) but ended up receiving item in less than a week. Very pleasant surprise! Initially received wrong tracking number so item showed it was delivered to another state. Contacted seller and they responded the same day with correct tracking number for my product. Lights turned on upon arrival- will update after some use so as to speak to durability and longevity of umbrella and lights, but upon arrival happy with product and customer service!

I absolutely LOVED this umbrella. Perfect size, perfect color! When this umbrella was assembled someone riveted the the pulley on, with the rope going “under” the pulley instead of “over” the pulley as it should. It left the rope to rub on the sharp edge as it cranked up and down. I emailed the company as the instructions ask you to do, if there were any issues. They never responded. I was hoping there was an easy fix. Now, I’m having to return my beautiful umbrella, reorder the umbrella, and wait WEEKS for a new one. I also ordered the extra protection plan this time. Had the company got back to me and worked it out, I would have given this 5 stars. It’s upsetting that I have to wait so long for another umbrella to come. The reason I recorded it, instead of just exchanging it, is because I wanted to add the protection plan. That could have also maybe been worked out with the company if they had responded to me. I’ll write another review when the next one arrives.

The 1st one we received, the box was damaged, the umbrella had a couple holes in the wind vent top, it had a dirty area on one side, and the solar lights didn't work. We returned it for an exchange. The return was so simple and the new umbrella was received in a couple days. This time the box was not damaged and the umbrella looked great, but again, the lights didn't work. This time I got out the included directions of what to do in that case. I had to take the umbrella out of the center of the patio table to get the solar top off and, sure enough, it was unplugged, just like the directions said it might be. It was easy to plug in and reattach the solar panel, and the lights worked great! But if that's the 2nd umbrella that came with non-working lights, and if it comes with directions as to what to do in that case, then I have a suggestion for the seller: (1) PLUG IN THE LIGHTS BEFORE SHIPPING, or (2) Change the directions to say to CHECK THE SOLAR LIGHT PLUG BEFORE YOU BOTHER PUTTING THE UMBRELLA TOGETHER AND PUTTING IT UP INTO YOUR PATIO TABLE. Even so, I still give it 5 stars and we are ordering another one for our other patio table. But this time, I'll check the solar light plug BEFORE putting the umbrella up!

Pretty good quality for the price. We'll see how it holds up with time. For those who are too cool for the manual: the switch to turn the lights on and off is on one of the support bars near the end on the side. Red switch. On is when the | icon is depressed. The solar panel at the top can be taken off pretty easily. Sorta turn and pull off the entire top thing. There's a connector dude inside. Make sure it's connected.

The umbrella is sturdy with metal pole and arms. It withstood some breezy wind conditions when we were RVing at the lake. Solar lights are reasonably bright. Overall a good product. On the others side of this I was missing a clear plastic lens on one of the 40 solar lights. The light works but the small lens cover was missing. The seller has been totally unresponsive to my inquiry about a replacement. It's a little thing but I want it right. The light switch is on one of the arms rather than the pole which makes it difficult to find when dark. Lastly the umbrella had no instructions. This would not have been an issue but at first the solar lights, despite hours of charging, would not work. The battery and the solar panels had been disconnected in the top of the umbrella. which required one to remove the cap to reconnect. This may be for purposes of shipping but there should be some notice to that end for those who may not know where to look.UPDATE 6/26/2020: Well last weekend the umbrella met its demise. It was being used at our RV on the lake and a very sudden and strong storm came up with wind gusts likely hitting 40 mph plus and accompanying hail. Just before my wife could get to the umbrella it took flight with the table and landed in the lot about 20 feet away breaking at the joint where the umbrella tilts. This piece seems to be cheap on every umbrella I looked at. Had it not been for this piece the umbrella would have survived intact. The pole and the arms of the umbrella are strong and sturdy which is why I ordered another one as opposed to an umbrella I actually liked a little better but had a thin aluminum pole, BTW my cheap $20 last year end sale umbrella I had survived despite being thrown further. It did not have the tilt mechanism though.

Base installed easily into concrete and so far has been extremely sturdy. Had an issue with one of the two I ordered having defective part and manufacturer did not hesitate to send out replacement.

UPDATED 8/16/21 - Well, I finally was able to get the umbrella set up after receiving instructions from the mfr. While the umbrella did not stand up with the provided base, I purchased the rolling base from Purple Leaf and it now seems VERY stable, rolls well, swivels well. And the customer service (that occurred presumably from my review since I didn't call) was exceptional. They followed up to see if I figured it out and it was working, sent instructions and videos. My rating would be a 5* if I didn't have to ask for instructions. A large printout like what was sent to me should be in the box and the video link was very helpful and could also be provided.ORIGINAL REVIEW - Well, as other have said the instructions are crap. It took so much longer putting it together than it should have while trying to figure out the picture instructions which were very confusing. I think the manufacturer should say that the included cross stand will NOT hold the umbrella up WITHOUT being weighted down or bolted to the ground. I thankfully ordered the rolling base which I'm waiting for so I won't be using it until that arrives since it won't stand up and I don't want to anchor it. Other than instructions and the inability to use it out of the box (without bags of sand or anchoring), I can't give it a 5*...but it seems sturdy so we'll see.

Beware this umbrella pictures the base but does not come with it. It doesn’t state it’s sold separately. I now have to buy the base for like $160. I would have purchased the more expensive, nicer octagon umbrella that came with the base had I known. It would have ended up at the same price for a nicer umbrella

This umbrella exceeds my expectations! It actually looks like it was meant to go with my patio set. i waited til dusk to show you the lights. The top has small wind vents which I didn’t see in the description, so that’s a nice plus! The fabric is textured and very nice. The mechanism to raise and lower the umbrella works smoothly. 7-25-21 Revision:Bluu contacted me and did in fact say they would replace the umbrella. I can say that I was very pleased that they reached out and corrected the issue. Thank you Blue for the replacement - very nice.____Item is not bad, if you manage to get one that works out of the box. I should have opted for the full replacement, instead I picked the lights to exchange that did not work, problem here is that the lights are single leds that light up a light bar and in my case two of the lights were not connected at all, sounds small, but the led 'plug' was further up the slot and was not easy to get to. I ended up having to bend the end of a coat hanger at 1/8 inch in order to 'grab' the plug and pull it down to re-connect. Over all, the lightening is good, but the item is rather cheaply made. Still considering returning as all the extra effort to get all the lights working.

This umbrella was very easy to assemble and I loved the color…..BUT, one of the LED lights was out once we allowed it to charge for a day and test it. I followed the manufacturer manual that suggested you should text them to get replacement or fix. I got a response asking for pictures which I sent. After that, nothing. The other issue, as I now see on several other reviews, is the very shabby material. The fabric was frayed in multiple spots. This company obviously does not stand behind their product. There are 20 other companies on here selling very similar umbrellas. I would try your luck with them. This product and company is garbage.Update: I finally got a replacement umbrella and this one was worse than the original. The company ended up refunding me and we’ve moved on. I stand by the fact that the product is garbage, but their customer service finally stepped up. Therefore I added a star to my review.

Great umbrella! The solar lights are on the blueish side but do cast a nice glow to sit under and converse. The small on and off switch is a nice feature and the light beige color is more off white which is what I wanted. It is a very nice white. It also seems to be pretty durable as mine blew over in some heavy winds and survived unscathed.

Since day one.We have a similar umbrella, adjacent to this one, purchased from a local big box retailer for a little more cost, and it’s 200 times better than this piece of junk.Our other lighted umbrella purchased at the big box store has beautiful natural white LED lighting. The one reviewed here has that terrible, bluish super white and very dated and poor quality LED technology, and it’s incredibly dim compared to the other one.I am going to trash this noisy, floppy piece of junk and purchase another big box model which is solid as a rock.Caveat emptor.

Out of the box impressed! Didn’t feel this woul likely be a top grade umbrella given the price but I must say I think I stand corrected. The actual canopy material is much thinner than the one I paid about 4 times as much for but I have to say the pole is much better and that’s what I needed most. My pole had the tilt pin break out during a bad storm so I just needed the rod to replace the broken one but I’m so impressed that I’m going to use it as new out of the box and if the canopy fades I’ll just switch them out at that time. I think anyone would be very pleased with this at this price! If not, you must be difficult to please. just my honest opinion. The solar lights even worked right out of the box and the umbrella was neatly packaged with extra care to ensure mint condition on delivery!Ps.... it is a true burgundy/wine. Not red at all.

Box arrived, we set it up, all quite easy.Put it outside through the center of the table & locked it in place.LED's work well, its construction is fairly sturdy, BUT..... the lovely forest green umbrella we purchasedfaded to pale blue within 20 days & continues to do so. I suspect by the end of summer it will be very close towhite.For this reason alone I don't recommend it even though it is well built.I'll give it 2 stars simply because the LED's work it charges up well & is fairly solid construction, not at all worth what they are asking for it price wise.Just for comparison our supermarket 39$ umbrella didn't fade until halfway through its second summer.But 20 Days??, that's just pure BS!!!If aesthetics count for you don't touch this thing with a barge pole....If it were priced at say, $39.99 might be worth it otherwise keep scrolling & searching. Good luck!UPDATE:1 LED's stopped working several weeks ago2 The crank cord for raising & lowering the umbrella snapped. So we got this one because we did not want to spend too much, and end up with the wrong size or one that only lasted for one year and have to buy again. We have been pleasantly surprised. The crank up/down mechanism seems much more sturdy that we expected given the cost. The material is thick enough to hold out the sun during our Florida early summer heat---it's been over 90 several days already. We store it in the down position, but sitting in our umbrella stand outside on the porch in the sun.I'd recommend this one to anyone. Right now, I think we are going to get multiple years out of it--I don't see any wear on it at all and we've been using it for a couple months or so, but only crank it up/down every couple of weeks so far given the weather. It seems to be an inch or two smaller than advertised in diameter, but it works for the space. There is a stop to keep you from cranking it too high--seems nothing will happen to that. My guess is that the first thing to go will be whatever is inside that pulls it up, but you can't see that. The pole itself looks nice and classy enough to pass by anywhere. It fits inside our standard diameter umbrella stand.

We ordered this umbrella on July 1st, and less than 3 weeks later it's broken in half. The umbrella itself is in great condition, and the lights work. There is a small metal "button" where the upper and lower half of the umbrella pole connects, and that little metal button broke. I don't know if this is normal for others or just a faulty umbrella. Otherwise, the solar panel is fine and the button to turn the lights on and off works great, the color is a pretty summer aqua that looks great. Just need to get a better way to attach both ends of this umbrella pole together.

Excellent quality all around. So sturdy. Lights are great. Zero issues. there's nothing hard about setting it up - you just have to connect the plug at the end of the wires into the solar panel. My 7-year-old could easily do it. Just look at the top of the umbrella and connect it.There are umbrellas that are less expensive, but I knew I made the right decision as soon as this came out of the box. It screams sturdiness and high quality. My handyman (who was doing other work on my deck) just kept saying "wow" as I put this up. He's certainly seen many patio umbrellas in his life.This is a very different kind of patio umbrella than the cheap ones. I'd believe it cost three times as much. It's nicer than the ones in the outdoor seating sections at some of the restaurants we go to.You won't regret it.(I use this with shademobile's rolling umbrella base. Nice combination!)

We love this solar umbrella for our back patio! It allows us to utilize our table in the back yard. Prior to this purchase, we were unable to make good use of our back yard kitchen area. It now get a lot of use! And we have received many comments from guests about how the lighting is perfect - not too bright but bright enough to eat, drink, and have conversation. We would definitely purchase all over again!

It does what it is suppose to do. The LED lights are a nice feature. We purchased three of these to replace ones that we purchased at Costco. My wife wanted the LED lights. The sunbrella fabric is not as thick. The pipe is not as thick. This biggest issue is when the umbrella is down the handle is not exposed. It is under the umbrella. You have to reach under it and crank it a few times before you have easier access to the handle. On the last one we purchased the hand crank is extremely hard to turn when lowering the umbrella. There are end pieces are located in the middle braces and arms that protect the metal from tearing the fabric. Several of them have fallen off and we have lost a few. We apply gorilla glue when reinserting the end pieces. I attached a picture of the piece that is falling off. The hand crank that is hard to turn. The hand crank which is under the umbrella.

Yes it's in my patio. Looks great 👍. It wasn't difficult to install it. Everything worked as expected while installing it. Umbrella ribs or whatever you call them are not super strong. Make sure you open the umbrella in a way it is not stuck anywhere when you crank it open. It is super easy to bend them if they are stuck somewhere while opening. Mine is bent and I take full responsibility of what I did even when my wife was super pissed.I had to take her out for dinner to make it right 🎂👏👏. Well my umbrella is doing fine. I won't suggest opening, closing it all the time. I'm not sure if it's going to last for next 2 summers but I didn't spend that much money either.Forgot to talk about the lights. Solar lights work nicely. Make sure solar panel is facing Sun and not under shade.I don't have heavy winds situation either so I think it will last two summer. Fast shipping! Excellent packaging and quality of the umbrella! The material is sturdy and well made, we have already installed it and sitting under it every day. Rain or sun it's perfectly doing what it suppose to. We ordered beige and it's just like on the picture. The lights are great, everything is working, it's not very bright, but I'm thinking that the battery didn't have enough time to charge. Otherwise it's a great umbrella! Great quality!

This thing is clearly a little below its price point. Low quality and fair customer support. The 1st one broke in less than 24 hours in use. One of the arms bent. Little to no wind at all. They were nice enough to replace it, but the sent me one that had been returned by someone else and the crank case cover is cracked. I’m not even going to try and get a third one. Just going to use this one and not buy again from this place. The second one didn’t even come with all the parts either. The lesson learned is you get what you pay for.

Nice umbrella for it's kind, and for most can cost you up to $1,000, but one thing they all have in common is that none of them come what they refer to as a weight (stand). However for an umbrella this size, it acts as a "sturdy stand", hence given the water filled weight. You can't have any other. As it comes, your required to bolt down two cheap cross bars into your deck or slab, which now you have drilled holes into your foundation and it can't be moved! They're all necessary for this size & type umbrellas. Just another way to show a cheaper price and somewhat hide the needed weight within the description and not flag it out in front. Once you receive the product and realize this "missing necessity", you'll need to shall out another $147. It's known as selective advertising. They certainly now the need for it. Figuratively speaking, pretty soon you'll buy a car and come to find that the engine is additional. Lastly, there's no replacement cover, which also protects the solar panel that faces straight up. The cover will rot away in less than a year, due to one's climant and there's no customer service number provided and/or link. Now you know!

Purchased the water base and 12’ umbrella. Easy assembly - but BUYER BEWARE - Step 3 (Solar Assembly) should be done PRIOR to Step 2 (Umbrella Assembly). The directions call for you to step the umbrella onto the base, and THEN deal with the Solar Panel (which would be at the top of the umbrella, some 8’ off the ground).

I was very excited to get this 12' black umbrella for our deck after reading the reviews and seeing the the beautiful pictures with assorted colors to choose from. I had purchased the large base separately which fits perfectly with the umbrella. Having a solar panel to provide energy for lighting is a great idea and marketing tool but in actuality it DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY. My issues started during the assembly where it says connect the USB wire to the solar panel and feed the wire down through the middle of the top of the umbrella.....which I did. Then I attached the umbrella to the base and opened the umbrella and discovered 2 major issues: 1) The USB wire doesn't even connect to the battery from the solar panel. 2)There was a damaged support bar underneath the umbrella (see pics)I immediately looked for the support page in the assembly and operations guide to find a website with just an email and a separate email. NO PHONE NUMBER. So I emailed my concerns and they replied 2 days later saying that the battery housing needs to be unscrewed from the under structure, plug the USB into that and then plug the other end into a phone charger which then plugs into the wall. That is not what I had in mind for a "solar panel" powered light source. So I emailed again to ask how does the solar panel work??? They replied the next day saying the only way is with the phone charger method. Sent email #3 asking for them to call me on my cell since there was no phone number listed on their website or in the manual so we can discuss all the issues I am having. They called the next day in the afternoon and I could not answer for I was seeing a patient in the middle of a procedure (dentist) so they left a message saying " I am from purple leaf and calling you"...That's it! The number was a out of ordinary number with 13 numbers in the ID. I tried to call them back but could not complete the call. Sent email #4 asking to please call during my lunch hour which is 12-1 and I will definitely answer. They emailed back the next day saying they will call during the designated time and they NEVER did!!!!! I guess it's safe to say that I am using a damaged umbrella that is not solar powered and getting by with it. My message to anyone considering buying one of these umbrellas from purple leaf is that the support is a big fat JOKE and they don't seem to put any effort to stand behind their product and make things right for the consumer.Thanks!!!

If you're hesitant to purchase because of the price, but yet you're torn because you need a good, quality umbrella...just get it. I went round and round before purchasing, but I'm so happy we made the investment.There's a previous review that talks about tips when putting the umbrella together...read it for sure. The installation insructions are very minimal, so we missed the part about installing the LED part first. We ended up just using a ladder to attach it. You also want to make sure you remove ALL the protective packaging on the interior of the fabric or else you won't be able to fully open the umbrella.We had zero lighting on our deck and so the LED light feature is AMAZING. It lights up the space so well.Thank you, Purple Leaf!

Update: looks brand new after removing the cover from its winter sleep. The square version is so elegant.I under estimated the size of this umbrella. It’s huge and I am very glad I bought the purple leaf stand that goes with it, perfect fit. I’m glad I measured my patio which is 10 feet wide. Be sure you have plenty of room to swing it around and open and close it. I have to swing it around to close it because of my patio furniture. This is no problem because it rotates very easily around my patio. I have utilize the cantilever to shade my garden during the hot summer heat wave.

When this arrived, the tent/canvas had some holes. We went through the return process with Amazon and they were very helpful and responsive. Before we actually returned it, my husband decided to contact Purple Leaf. They were SO helpful. We sent pictures and order information and they sent a new tent/canvas without any question. I would highly recommend this umbrella - we have thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to continue for a long time. It's easy to use and very effective. And it looks very nice on our patio. I also recommend because both Amazon and Purple Leaf were GREAT to work with us when there was a problem.
