This solar powdered light is really something. It stays on all night long, even on cloudy days,is very bright when motion activated and was a breeze to set up. I really love it.My only problem was the bracket that came with the unit was not designed for a flat roof that I needed to use for my solar cell location.To maximize the angle of the sun I wanted to create an adjustable bracket so that in the winter, for instance, I could lower the angle to catch more sun and maximize battery life.Problem solved! Purchased a grill fish basket from a home & garden retailer for $10 bucks and bought a ¾ inch piece of scrap PVC from the same store. Used a heat gun to warm and flatten one end and wired the other end to the handle of the fish basket (see photos) Then I used gaffer’s tape to hold it all together :-)To find the correct angle for your location, use the internet to find solar noon for your city and then adjust the angle so that you cast the most even shadow. I used a tiny cup taped to a CD case and placed it on the solar cell and adjusted the angle to achieve an even shadow. Then I taped the basket down to my flat roof. Now all I have to do is adjust the vertical angle to match the time of year. I painted the PVC flat black and scratched different settings for each season.Piece of cake!Get this unit…you won’t be disappointed!

So far, so good 1 month in! The light works as promised! It was very easy to install, HOWEVER, you will need to sodder or drill holes in the plastic wall mount, and unfortunately the included solar panel bracket/brace is NOT strong enough for wind prone areas. Those of you who live in the northern part of the San Fernando Valley, north of Los Angeles know what I'm talking about when we get those Santa Ana wind events!Unfortunately, literally a day after I installed my light, we had a wind event and gusts of around 40+mph easily blew down the solar panel, so I had to reattach it to my flat roof. Fortunately the cable attachment was strong enough not to snap off! I went to Home Depot, purchased a bag of inexpensive 1 inch L shaped brackets, screwed them together to form Z-like brackets, and secured the solar panel flat against the roof by putting 2 of these brackets on each side, still leaving enough space to let the cable through. We've had several windy days since then and the solar panel has stayed firmly in place! I had to get a little creative here as Z mounting brackets for solar panels are expensive and were unavailable at the time. Also the screws provided, particularly the ones specifically for the solar panel bracket, are insufficiently long and strong enough! So you may need to dig through your assortment of screws. You may even brace the solar panel down with inexpensive galvanized tab tape. Just a thought!I'll do a follow up review in a few months.

FINALLY. A company that knows how to do Solar Lighting that works great! I love this light. Installed myself, very easily. Very bright light and doesn't dim out. Excellent product. The instructions are lacking a bit though. Kind of confusing in fact. I still can't figure out how the Dusk to Dawn part of the light works. Seems to always be on motion detector.

This light has a very wide angel as you can imagine with the LED formation. The photocell is on the side and sensitive. Good design. It is a bit pricey compared to others but this is because it is warm white and not daylight white. Those daylight white flood lights are many but warm white with photocell I could only find this one. The cable has no plug and is very short so this is really a 4.5 star. I would have purchased 30W and 50W options too but they are not available, no where on Amazon with photocell.

I really tried and reached out for help on the customer questions and got nothing. My light is a nightmare. It is MOTION activated ONLY. I stand underneath it every night and try is desperation for it to stay on. I can get it after hitting every button on the remote. I wanted a NON MOTION only simple light that comes on at night and goes out when it either runs out of time or morning. It does neither, it comes on either by a remote underneath it dancing around trying to get it to turn on and stay on, other days it comes on about night time and goes out who know whens, I check it sometimes when I get up at 3 a.m. and it is off. For the last two nights it comes on on it't own for who knows what reason. The biggest reason I ordred this I wanted NON motion simple and conveniient. It is neither. I am wondering if they sent me the wrong product but the seller qut communicating. I could not be more upset about spending this kind of money (this wa a beta test, i intened to buy 5 for my yard) and it was not at all what I expected or read. I dont buy compulsvely I shopped for awhile to get the right product and I am so upset on this item. After buying a steel mounting pole, drilling a whole in concrete for the base plate this thing is a disaster. If the seller would at least help me understand if they shipped the wrong product maybe we can figure this out, but for now I am on my own wth this light that has a life of it's own whenever it feels like working!!!!

So far, so good. Easy to install and it operates, as stated. Had a few cloudy days, and it still worked for 10 hours of night time use. I am buying another one for the rear yard. These are used in Roatan, Honduras, the solar panel receives a average of 6 hours of sunlight exposure daily. I like their RI 68 rating for waterproofness. Will buy more if they continue to work.
